Default America's Oldest Teenager

Sadly, I just read an article on Yahoo, announcing that America's Oldest Teenager, Dick Clark, has passed away.

So sad. :(

So, so sad. I loved him. He seemed so sweet and kind. New Year's Eve will never be the same. Rest in peace...

Rest In Peace Dick Clark. I always loved him. American Bandstand gave me my love of dancing. I loved Pyramid. I always watched New Year's with Dick Clark. I will really miss him. He was a music legend.

A lot of people were at the Dick Clark theater today in Branson. The fans made a pretty little memorial for him outside the theater. The theater had just reopened after repairing all the damages from the tornado.

This is so sad. New Year's Eve will never be the same. It hasn't been the same, actually, since his debilitating stroke; but now he won't even be making a few appearances. So many singers and bands made their big debuts on AB. He will be missed.

I found a video series about two women, autistic savants, who were arguably Dick Clark's best fans - they met him twice, and he contacted them annually on their birthday. It was really touching.

I'm linking the 3rd of the 6 video series, where they start talking about Dick Clark and their fandom, but there is more in the 4th through 6th videos, and background in the 1st and 2nd:
