I got an email this morning about a new machine...maybe these old dies don't work in it. I didn't watch the video, but may have to go back and see what it's all about. It's called Spellbinders Platinum. Supposed to give more pressure or something.
I got that email too. The new machine looks interesting.
I hope all the Spellbinder clearance sales are just to make room for new stuff
However I can't imagine them introducing a new machine that could not cut all the previous dies . There would be a Crafter's Mutiny
The new little Sapphire and now the new Platinum may be why the Artisan X-Ployer is not available .
If the Platinum has more pressure I would be interested in it .
I have no interest in the new Sapphire with only a 2 & 1/2" opening . That would be about the size of the opening on the little purple " X" Xyron

I saw the video on the new Platinum Spellbinder die cut machine. I think it uses all spellbinder dies as I recall. I am waiting for it to come out. I like it's all steel inner construction and the fold up platforms allowing it to take up a smaller footprint when not in use.
As for the sale on dies, don't know why, but it may have something to do with the England based Company Create and Craft out of England. They promote Tattered Lace, Creative CRAFTER'S dies.
As for me I have run afoul with that English based company. Bad CS, charge your CC then don't deliver, can't get a refund on your money.
Buy Only from American companies if you want to keep our companies open and prevent them from closing their doors.

Just watched this video and noticed the new slimmer, smaller packaging the dies are shown in - maybe they're clearing out the old packaging to present their rebrand?

Those are cute little storage boxes but Do they have any idea how many Spellbinders dies we Have? Good grief we need a crate not a little candy box to store them LOL

I would imagine that Spellbinders needs to get rid of their old dies periodically. They can't sell very well after all this time. Don't we tend to buy items when they first come out and we Have to Have them. When I started buying Spellbinder products (circles, ovals etc.) there were no other companies offering dies. Now every company has dies. Spellbinders has lots of competition. I haven't bought any of those new fancy dies. But I still use the circles, ovals etc. on almost every card I make. And they don't need any special technique to separate the die from the paper. Easy peasy. Happy Stamping...B.
Yea. I think they are just getting rid of old stuff to make room for new stuff. Looking at the new releases, they're headed in a slightly different direction, introducing shapes and not just normal ovals, squares, etc. and intricate stuff. I really don't think they are going anyweyre. Think they're just trying to keep up with the trends.
