Just received an update via Elizabeth's blog that she has decided to close down Elzybells Art Stamps. Here is a link to the Elzybells blog so you can read all about it.
So sad. Elzybells was one of the first companies I bought from when I started stamping! Have always loved Elizabeth's sweet designs, and she has been a wonderful person to deal with over the years. Elzybells will be much missed!
So sorry to hear that! I have a few of her stamps and think they are adorable! Thanks for sharing the news, I may have to pick up a few more stamps before she closes!
I still can't believe this. Elzybells stamps are so quirky and different from any others and being English, it's also been really nice to support a British company in a US dominated market. I adore these images-this is so sad.
I adore Elzybells images and am so sad to hear Elizabeth is closing down shop. Hopefully they will be back in some shape or form soon.
That would be nice, but her notice made it sound pretty final.
If anyone is interested, she has marked everything 50% off now. I shopped last night and got 20 stamps. Shipping to the U.S. was about $7 (reasonable to me). It's still a sad thing, but at least I'll have some to carry me for awhile!
I ordered 3, shipping was only $2.82. I hope I figured this correctly, $8.40GBP=approx. $11.00. ??? Anyone know how to figure it out exactly by any chance?
If you have ordered from them before, do you remember about how long it took to get them (to the US)?
Well I do not exactly remember (I know I ordered at full price with the dollar was horrible.)
I know I was not disappointed in the delivery from UK so probably around 2 weeks.
The dollar exchange is better now also, so I feel I got a real bargain this time around.
It may take longer to receive since she is going out of business and may have a large number to ship.
I do love the ones I ordered and also the ones I already have.
I placed an order today for 9 sets and my total was 58.43 GBP which converted to 91.05 USD. I have to say I was a bit surprised at the final USD total but I am very happy to have waited and ordered when the sets were on sale. I have never ordered from overseas so I really didn't know what to expect.
I am sorry to see that Elzybells is closing down. I love the stamps!

Is GBP the British Pound Sterling? If so I can calculate it for you .
If it is not the British Pound what country are your ordering from? I have nearly all the currency calculations on my computer
8.48 = $ 12.84 as of today. The currency conversion fluctuates every day

It always took about two weeks from them to Texas.

Thank you. That's it. That comes to $4.28 for each stamp, so I am very happy with the price. I got umbrella girl, flower girl, and girl talk. I absolutely love the teddy bear in the diaper and in the tub, but I have to stop being over indulgent. I can see myself becoming a collector (like so many profess to be on here) and I don't want to do that. I don't like being wasteful - ever.
Maybe after I get my girl stamps I can trade images with someone who has teddy diaper and teddy tub. (one can hope, right???? ... lol)

A good website which I use all the time for up-to-date currency conversions is: www.xe.com
Simply scroll down a little to type in the amount you want to convert.
My bank charged me a 3 percent "international banking fee". It was only three dollars something, but still - I was not expecting that and I thought Elzybells had charged me for some reason an additional charge without telling me because it says the charge came from Elzybells. But the charge really comes from your bank and I was mad that it didn't say "international banking fee charge" on my statement.
So just letting you know incase you're a first time buyer, like I am. (Eventhough I wasn't concerned about the money because I wanted the stamps and I got them 50 percent off). So I still came out ahead. But I don't like surprises. Especially when it comes to my money and my bank account.
Have fun with your new stamps. I can't wait to get mine.
In case anyone is wondering about timing of shipments during her shut-down period, I ordered my stamps 7/3 and received a "shipped" notice yesterday. That's about 5 days, well within the week she said to expect. Based on past experience with UK mail, I expect it the 16th - 19th. HTH this helps someone with their expectations.
I've apparently been hiding under a rock, how depressing! I placed an order today but but three of the stamps I desperately wated are gone! If anyone got In the dog house, Reindeer Sleigh or Indulgence multi and you changed your mind let me know. I did manage to get 14 stamps from my wish list! :-)
Ordered on the 6th and no shipping notice as of today; hoping for happy email on Monday.
I placed my order on the 5th and just got an email notice that my order was shipped. So I bet you get an email tomorrow that it has been shipped.
I can't wait. Now I am really regretting that I didn't get all the ones that I wanted. I am wondering if some smart fellow or lady ordered a bunch of them and will sale them on ebay.
Sweet! Will keep my eyes peeled; thanks. Are the other ones you wanted on the sold-out list then? Boooo.

Dumb me. I never go with my instincts.

Yes they are. But it's okay. I'm trying to get my spending under control. I think I made the same mistake that a lot of stampers do when they first begin this hobby. I went a little overboard and crazy with the buying. I bought tons of cardstock and designer paper, embellishments, tools, and oh my gosh(!!!!!!!) the rubber stamps I didn't think I could live without.
A friend of mine just had a crafts yard sale with about 25 fellow crafters and they donated all the money to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. I have slowly been weeding out the stuff I don't use or like and giving it to Goodwill.
(But I don't have 1/10th of the stuff some people on here have. Have you seen their craft rooms? Good grief! I think too many people become collectors and not crafters and I am getting myself under control before I do the same).
I emailed Elizabeth on Weds cause i hadn't heard anything about my order from 7/5. She said that it is taking roughly 2 weeks to get orders out. So, Just a heads up it might take a little longer than expected.
