Default I saw new CTMH catty

There are quite a few sets that look similar to Stampin' UP! They did go to acrylic . You buy the acrylic blocks on their own in different sizes and then buy the stamp sets. It looks cheaper but you are just buying the clear images not the blocks. There is a lot of scrapbooking stuff in there too. Cute stuff but I still like SU! better....that's why I'm a demo!!

Yes, they are going all acrylix. I heard they should be completely switched over by the end of August. Anything that's "NEW" in the catalog is already acrylix. I like the idea because it would be so much easier to transport. I had some other acrylic stamps and they seems like they didn't hold the ink very well.

I wasn't impressed with their new catalog. It was geared too much towards scrapbooking and didn't lead to too much imagination; just plop your photo down and you're done.

I like SU much better too. We'll see what the new caty beholds...

I just recieved their new catty yesterday. I have to say the artwork (samples)seems smaller and less than before. They do have a ton more scrapbook stuff before and their patterned paper selection is impressive and will set them apart from the mainstream lines out there. I just wish there were more samples instead of a lot of pages with one idea on them. And what they do have is very small.

They have also added stickers and die cut tag and box sheets. The one thing I thought was cool were the color coordinated accessory groups ie. white(beads, buttons, brads, clips etc.).

I think it would be cool if we could buy color groups of things through SU I like that idea, I hadn't really thought about it until I saw it in there.

Default Bought It

I had to buy the catalog and see what it was about. Especially because I am considering becoming a demo. I really liked their color combos and that they had 60 color options. BUT, overall, I think SU is better and I am glad that I know now. SU has their stamps and full size in the catalog AND the focus is more on cards - which I do mostly.

I was a scrapbooker first and cards were new to me when I was first introduced to SU. I signed up immediately and I have used my stamps in my scrapbooks. I like the way SU has something for everyone in the catalog.

I am curious to see the CTMH catty, though. I'd like to see their alpha sets.
