Count me in!!! I totally look forward to seeing you all again! Are you going to wear your SCS pin from convention? It was so easy to spot others when we were wearing the pins. If you don't have one you could probably make something pretty close - Laurel did such an amazing job that it may be hard to totally duplicate it, but at least you could put your SCS name on the blue and yellow and then innovate from there. What do you all think?

I didn't get the convention pin! But am wondering if I might try to make some up....I am still on the fence because of time constraints. So glan you can come!!!
SO..........Is driving 8 blocks a problem for anyone???I am sure there will be some car pooling going on.
Lisa - you're too funny! I don't know that you should commit to making pins - Laurel had her hands full - but one each should be no problem and I think Laurel has hers posted in her gallery. If it's not there I'll check back with a gallery location for those who are interested.
Right now I am looking into Milestones......they have great food and seem to have a nice atmosphere! I have contacted them and they are willing to accommodate us. I will also look into the restaurant that is located right behind the convention center……I need to find out there name still. I have eaten there one time and it was favorable, not as good as milestones....but closer. Milestones is located on Robson Street and has great shopping around it.....so that would be fun too. I will be driving alone and am willing to share my car and am sure others will do the same!
I will be letting you know in the beginning of next week where the site is!
Sounds great to me. 8 blocks isnt far at all, and for us it will be closer to the hotel.

I have reserved enough for 30 to come to Milestones in Vancouver!!! Friday night at 5:30….right after the seminar. It is 8 blocks away…..so that gives us about ½ hr. to get there. Ask your hotel concierge for directions…..or I can give you the email for them to get directions…..they have been great! they have great food!
Please bring Swaps to swap with your fellow SCS ladies.(Card fronts only) I am asking for ONE FULL CARD FROM EACH OF YOU, FOR MYSELF IN THIS SWAP.....these cards will be donated to Hospice of Whatcom county to support our cancer patients. I organized Caring Cards of Whatcom County a while back and these cards will be a great help to these patients. So this will be a 29 card front + 1 card swap. If I can pull of making swaps and prizes, I will……but I think it will be hard to do both.
We will be having some fun little prizes for some of you there too! I am going to try to solicit some prizes from a few of our Infamous Ladies and I will come up with a few myself!!! It will be a fun night of friends and Laughter! I might just invite Shelli…..think she would come? LOL!
Milestones has sent me a sample menu. If you would like to view it I can forward it to me......just email me for that.

From the Pan Pacific go south on Burrard St. until you get to Robson. Go
east (turn right) on Robson & go 1.5 blocks. We are on the North side of
Robson in between Thurlow & Bute.
Do you want names for the reservations, or is 30 plenty to cover all?
Oh, and I have never been to convention, so what kind of pins are you talking about??

Any kind of pin that has “SCS�? on it!! You might even include your username too! big or little..........polyshrink, clay cardstock.....whatever!!!! That way we will see you at the seminar wearing your pin and we can say "HI" then. that will also help if you are swapping.......that way if you see someone that is wearing one too, you can tell them that you will swap with them at dinner! Some people might be able to do a different swap for both.....some may not. This might help save on repeats!
Like I said……..I will provide a prize for the coolest pin! We can have a little vote when we get to the dinner.
Ladies…….I am working real hard to make this a Blast!!!! Hope it will be fun for all!
This becomes more real every time I read a new post!!! I can hardly wait! Thanks for all the planning. I'm staying at a hotel on Robson, so I'm sure it's not far.

you can look on the 2nd post in this string.....I list all of the people who are expected. the reservation is under my name....Lisa Johnson/ splitcoaststampers. If people get there early.....the will be able to be seated, you just have to tell them that you are with our party!
We're leaving right after the seminar right? So we dont need to ask our concierge unless we need directions for the way back right?
I'm not staying in one of the convention hotels, too expensive. I got a 2 bedroom condo instead. A little further away and half the cost. :-) And the restaruant you chose is actually smack dab in the middle between the condo and the convention center so its perfect. :-)

Yes!!!...........Keep in mind that these cards will be shared with the customers of the Fellow SCS Sister that are attending. Make sure you use SU stuff only...............that way you will not put someone in a position of sending a customer to the craft store instead of her catalog. LOL!

So that brings us up to 32 + 1 on the swap. Please remember to wear a pin with SCS and your username at the seminar. That way we wont double swap! It just makes it so much easier for those who only make one type of card to swap!!!
I would love to have more people join us....I just need advance notice.

For my pin I was going to enlarge my icon pic (since its the only one I use) and trace it onto clear poly shrink. Color with sharpies, shrink, and embellish.

I REALLY want to come! If it is too late for the swap, I understand...but I'm crafty and I don't think you'd be dissapointed with my cards! HAHAHA...Anyways, I live in Vancouver, but only read this post yesterday. I am not a demonstrator, but I do think of myself as a demonstrator supporter. Oh, Lisa is right...milestones is a great restaurant. Please let me know if I can come too.

I won't be able to make the meeting afterwards. Iam going up with a friend and one of her downline. And we are leaving to go back home right after.
I will try to get some sort of pin made so at least I could meet a few of the SCS.
I was feeling rather smug that I had gotten registered for Vancouver before it was filled up and only just today noticed this thread.
I live in Lynnwood, WA and am driving up. I'd be glad to carpool up, but I didn't put the word out because I'm not very good at planning ahead--I'm really a bit of nutter--and I just got the go ahead on spending Wednesday in Bellingham (research at the archives on campus). I don't know where I'm spending the night yet--Bellingham or Vancouver (I was warned about bordercrossing being time consuming, so would it be better to get into Vancouver on Wednesday?)
I understand if the swap list is full up, but just in case there is room, I'm prepping extra, plus the hospice and pin.
I read a posting from someone going to convention--it sounded as if it is traditional to bring gifties for upline/downline. Please advise! (Vancouver will be my first big SU event)
