Sue - I would love to have some birthday cards. I really try & get one to each guy. I realized tonight my DH is on the 8th & I haven't done anything yet. Oooops
Mine went out again today...my husband sent them a couple of days ago, but the kiosk wasn't working, so he put a bunch of stamps on it...and it was too heavy to go without being taken to the counter. So today the little old man that picks up the church & school's mail comes in and says "April, do you know what this is?" and has the envelope in hand...
So, they are enroute...again! There are valentine cards from the kids "loose" in there and a ziploc with blank cards (and envelopes) that we made from some of my card fronts.
Thank you to Pam form MO & Sue from IA. Your cards arrived last night. They are so cute. Great minds must think alike b/c you two used the same stamp. My daughter freaked out when she saw them b/c she loves elephants. Where did you get it?
New Count

Hey--I am sure you thought I forgot about the cards! I hadn't heard that you received them, so I went to check the school mail and they there were sitting there! So, I had my DH mail them on Wednesday. I hope it is not too late! My first graders did a really cute job on them. Let me know when you get them.
I can't believe that two of us used the same stamp to make cards for you. It is a retired stampin up set that I bought on ebay just to make cards for you to send to the troops. You should see the stamp set that I just received today that I got on ebay. It is an Americana style stamp set, so I will be making you birthday cards and getting them to you as soon as I can.

How funny... I made a nearly 80 of the same cards to send to a guy who runs a site that sends cards to troops.. I got that set years ago and always love to pull it out and use it around Valentine's Day.
here are the cards that I had sent: Valentine's Day Cards I only had 6 cards
left, and I am glad that they are going for a good cause and that someone enjoys them.
thanks for doing this. Pam

I am still accepting cards, if you haven't gotten them in the mail yet. I still need about 40 more. Fingers crossed. I talked to hubby tonight & he said the guys can't wait to see what I have for them this time. Who knew paper & some glitter could make a man so happy. Thank you again for your kindness & support for our troops.
Carebear - they are already off to our guys. Members have offered to make birthday cards & blank cards. If you would be interested, that would be great. I send each guy a birthday card.
Ladies - My computer is being horrible, so I apologize, for not posting sooner. You ladies are wonderful & very talented. I really hated sending some of the cards to the boys b/c they were so neat. I did it anyway. LOL For those of you who included addresses, please let me know if you hear from any of the guys. My hubby passes thanks on to me from the guys. So, I will post & let you all know. Most of them have been on leave & have had a hard time going back. So, I'm sure these cards will cheer them up.
GOD's Blessings to all of you:

I had 3 teachers who sent cards in from their students. Please let the children know how special the cards are & how much I loved reading all of them. Thank you again for everything. Our guys really are very special. Thanks for making them feel that way.
It is great to see others doing this too. I am almost to 17,000 cards sent. I send cards that are blank inside for the service men and women to send home to their loved ones. Valentines are one of my favorites...Looks like they will be getting a lot from ilovemickeymost...Great Job!
Blessings.

To all of you who have supported our guys, it has been wonderful. They were so excited to get the Valentine ones. I have very exciting news. Our guys will be headed home soon. I can't give dates, but the end is near. Yippie. I'm doing a little jig as I type.
If any of you are interested in supporting a wounded soldier w/ well wishes, I have contact information. www.collinbowen.com
Collin is one of my husband's friends & was injured in Afghanistan. He has burns over 50% of his body. He is one of the strongest men I've ever experienced & is fighting this thing for all he's worth. His address is listed on the website. He is married & has 3 daughters. Its been 2 months since he was injured.
Thank you ladies for all your support & love.
So glad to hear they got them! Sorry I didn't see this sooner, I haven't been on SCS much lately...
