Walmart normally has a lot of the sale items on BF but you need to get there early!
It also depends on how busy the Walmart is that you are going to....not that I'm an expert or anything
Oh and before BF on their website they will have a map of where each item will be located in the store that that helps!
I got my cricut there last year. They still had some Saturday and hadn't taken down the sign so I got the black Friday price. I am off to check the camera.

That's a really good price on the camera.
I went last year and bought a ton of DVD's for 2.00 each.

I was going to ask, if anyone went to Walmart last year for the Cricut and how bad was it?? Did they have alot of them? Was it a crazy madhouse with people wanting the Cricut? What time did you go?
Im not sure if its worth waiting so long and not getting one. Im hoping I can get one online for that price, save the hassel.
I got mine on Saturday. On Friday, I bought some cartridges. The rush was for the tvs. I did wait in line for a little bit though. It was not as bad as I thought. Be sure to check online too, last year it seemed that people ordered the tvs online and then picked them up after Black Friday.

Last year I got an Expression from Walmart but I ordered it online. Got up before 5 am, logged on, ordered and was back in bed before 5. I paid $7 shipping but is was worth it not to go fight the crowds to see if they maybe still had some in the store. I don't remember what time you could actually start to place orders, but the green was already sold out so I got black. Just a thought for those of you who don't live close or hate the crowds.
I just checked - CricutMachine.com and they still list the cartridges at 17.95 and 23.95. I ordered one last week and got it a few days later. Cheaper than M's and no crowds.
I saw this! I get emails about BF ads and when I saw this I was seriously considering getting the Expression. I just have the original right now. I'm still not sure.

as far as I can tell cricut machine.com still has the expression for $154 with a cart, free shipping, and no tax. Read the signs at walmart carefully...I think I remember hearing that last year the great deal on the cricut at walmart was the machines were refurbished....was in VERY tiny print on the sign

The machines were not refurbished....lol! They were brand new and manufactured specifically for walmart. I've never heard of walmart selling refurbished machines...
I got an expression last year at walmart. The add said they were available starting at midnight (before most of the major electronic deals people go crazy for!) So my DH went I grabbed one at midnight. Easy Peasy.
The ad said available at 12:01 am on Black Friday. That's cool. That's before the 5-11 special electronics deals where everyone runs in the front door at once.
So answer me this: If it's a 24 hour store, why are people waiting outside instead of just mulling around?

I guess I may never know for sure, but I bought one last year & called the manufacturer and was told they were not refuribished machines. Also, I checked the machine all over and couldn't find anything about the machine being refurbished.
there were people having problems with them, tried to return them and said they could not because they were not brand new, and cricut would not warranty them

This is even better! I'd rather stay up until midnight than get up before 5:00 am
I think WM is not usually open on Thanksgiving, at least not around me.
I think Walmart is open later in the day or early evening. But I still wonder why, if they are open and have deals at 12:01 AM, do people hang around outside until 5am? The store is open.

Last year my Walmart still had some on Friday night.
It will just depend on your Walmart, their stock, location, etc...

Only select items will be on sale at midnight, the rest will start at 5am.
They will have maps of the store and certain items will be at specific spots and people will wait around those areas for them to tear the plastic off of them right at 5am.....I have butterflies in my tummy just thinking of it!!!!
Even though I own 2 Cricut Expressions, an Imagine, and work with Provo Craft on many projects I am totally going to be there at 5AM to get a Purple or Green Cricut!!! I cannot wait!!!
Absolute excitement, Jimmi...I was thrilled to get my Exp. last BF, with Serenade and one other cartridge, after they pulled them from the back. Things were still being unloaded at 5 am. The electronics seemed to have the longest lines for laptops and cameras. I say have yourself committed to the have to get item and bring a small folding chair and a book to read. I'd say the longest line is at check out.
