I love the bow!!! Perhaps it would punch it up a bit if the white were matted with either the Ruby Red or the Old Olive in a 1/8 mat...or perhaps one matted one color the other in the opposite color... but really I love the card! I think the bow was GREAT! and that crumpled paper was wonderful for texture! I am not too good at DTP yet... I have to PRACTICE to get it I guess! LOL
Here is a link to my gallery, which has the sketches for Sketch Challenges 1-3. When you open each sketch there is a link to the card that inspired it and the thread about that week's sketch. You can also do a search here on the forums for "sketch challenge" and it will bring up the three threads about the sketches for weeks 1-3
Not to hijack the thread but I owe a great big thank you to Shannon and Andrea for walking me thru the attachment process so I could add my photo. Now back to your previus viewing pleasure.
Thank you Andrea and all the other wonderful stampers. I'm learning to look at the layouts more. I would just go to the galleries to stamp sets I have, and look at those samples to gleen ideas, but never thinking to use another stamp set. So these challenges have been great for me! Please keep 'em coming.

What a challenge I have had trying to get my cards uploaded. The first couple I tried to post today kept double and triple posting while all the time seeming to be locked in the upload screen...again now, I was locked in the upload screen for a veeerrrrrrrry looooooooooong time!!!! Anybody else having problems?
So, I finally have my cards posted for the challenge. I did two of them cause I'm addicted to the challenge!
ok, this was my first attempt at the challenges!!! :? I am not sure if the image is still pending approval, but here is the link... Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
 This is the coolest thing I've seen. It's so neat to see all of the creations. Here's my creation:[url]http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=62232&sort=2&cat=last1&page=1
I'm so glad you are posting these challenges!!! I haven't had a chance to join yet - my stamp room is being reorganized and I just can't work in there unless I'm doing something that I just *have* to do.
It has been so great to see what everyone is doing with the challenges. The cards are awesome .... Keep them coming!! I hope to join in soon.
I can't tell you how amazed I was to see that AndreaSophie had chosen a card of mine for this challenge. I was so excited! I have been making cards for about a year, and sometimes am hesitant to upload them, since I don't have all the SU components (yet) and use a lot of paper, ink, etc. that is non SU. The challenge cards are wonderful, you are truly an incredibly talented group. Thanks for all your kind comments.

I am so glad that you found this thread and saw that we all love your sketch! I thought about emailing you to let you know, but I was hoping you would find it on your own, because its more of a surprise that way hehe! We can get inspiration from anywhere, even stuff not from stampin up  so keep on posting your work using whatever materials you have!
Everyone has done some awesome work so far!!! Keep up the good work, and if you have been eyeing the challenges but haven't done one - Just do it!!! THey are fun fun fun!
First, I want to say THANK YOU to AndreaSophie for doing this. I am pretty new to SCS and I seem to be one of those people who can only CASE stuff and not come up with my own ideas. I've joined some swaps thinking that will inspire me but I fear that I'll just CASE some more. This is EXACTLY what I need to help me develop some ideas on mine own. I have to admit it's hard to not CASE everyone's sketch idea because they are all so AWESOME.
Anyway, here are my first two attempts. I wish I would have done week one and two. But now I'm keeping a 'sketch' book that has your sketches in them so that I have somewhere to look when I need inspiration.
I love this layout! How could anyone resist using this as inspiration!?!?!??! I put a little spin on it. I am really pleased with my card!!! And it was the first shot. Lookin' thru the thread it looks like lots of ppl weren't pleased w/their first piece. OR they liked the layout so much they made more! That made me laugh everytime! "I just had to make another". Regardless- all the cards look wonderful! These threads are so fun to read!

This is my first Non-CASEd card in such a very long time. Thank you so much for posting these! They are marvelous! Sure makes me think about creating in a whole different light! Now I can think about it as a formula to follow--I can do THAT!!
Can't wait til the next one!
