Okay, here is the challenge for this week! It is definitely going to be something different for me and I hope it is something different, or a challenge, for you! The inspiration for this week's sketch came from a card done by nuttnhoney(this link is a more recent upload, the original is an attachment below) one of my absolute favorite stampers. So, you guessed it, we are making LEGAL SIZE cards this week
Here are some directions on making the card base. Take your 8.5 x ll inches cardstock and cut 2 inches off the length. Cut ..5 inches off the width of the cardstock. So you will end up with a piece of cardstock 9 x 8 inches - these are the corrected dimensions!
edited to fix my goofy math  Sorry about that. I hope I didn't mess up too many people's cards :( I posted this at 5 am this morning after only having slept for about 2 hours. I promise I won't do that again!
To print this layout: - (nc means no color) If you see a small layout click on it or if you see an icon click on the words next to it.
-When the black surround screen appears click only on the layout and a white screen with the layout should appear.
-Right click and click on print from the pop up box or hold down your shift key and P key at the same time.
-Now you're ready to choose print and it should print to actual size of the card depending on your computer.
Reminder: Please put SC15 in the keyword section of your creation when you upload it.

Here is a link to the sketch in my gallery: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers I couldn’t get the legal sized card to the right dimensions to put it in this post.
Here are some directions on making the card base. Take your 8.5xll cardstock and cut 1.5 inches off the length. Cut .25 inches off the width of the cardstock. So you will end up with a piece of cardstock 10x8.25 inches.
All I'm getting is the sketch and not the original post.

Boy, up early on this one! I'll play later........still waiting for the coffee to kick in! Looks like a fun one with the different layout and size, I can't wait to see all the cards!
I really liked this sketch! I didn't follow it to a "t" but that's okay... I did make a long card, and I think that was the basic gist of the sketch anyway, right??
I needed a card for my husband's coworker who is having a baby, and they ALL sign the card, so this worked great! More room for more people to sign
Way to go Andrea!! This was a fun one. I love these challenges, they really inspire you to try new things and different perspectives. You do realize that you have all of us quite hooked??
I followed the measurement instructions, what size envie does this fit, my business size envelopes measure just 9.50 x 4.25, so this is card too big. Is there another size out there for this size card, or do we make our own envie?
I followed the measurement instructions, and cut my paper down to the last listed dimensions which are 10 x 8.25. But, if I follow the written ones, then it should be 9.50 X 8.25 right? Taking 1.5 off 11 would be 9.5. Not to be so anal, just trying to figure it out. Anyway, my point is now this...........what size envie does this fit, my long business size one is too small, do we make our own? And does anyone know about mailing, I am guessing it will cost more to mail now, right?
TIA,
Valerie

Valerie, I think the idea was to make a card that fits in the #10 size business envelope (regular size). I think there is a math error/typo in the size because it would be 8.25 x 9.5
I just measured the business envelope and it's about 4 x 9.5 so I'm going to make my cards a little smaller so that they fit in the envelope. (I'm too lazy to make my own!)
I'm making my cardstock 8 x 9 so that the folded card is 4 x 9 and fits perfectly in the regular envelope.
Too late for me, I already made it, and it doesn't fit, Wahhhh, so I guess I'm making a special envie, or finding a different something or other to mail it in. I made it special for someone and it can't be hand delivered, unless I get on a plane.............and I also measured my #10s and came up with the same size as you, which the card still wouldn't fit, even with the corrected measurements.
