Everyone ready for a good laugh today? I finally got brave enough to post one of my cards. When I went to fill in the info, I found I pulled up my husband's logo for his coop art gallery instead of my card. I am hoping I uploaded my card instead of his logo. It's still pending, but as soon as I find out which one I uploaded I will post a link. Anyway, I thought you would get a good laugh. (And it's not even after midnight so I can't use the excuse of being tired.)

Some tips on commenting (in case you didn't know) You can right click on the link and "open in new window." I have found it is much quicker than click back and forth between screens. I usually have 2 or 3 screens open at a time these days and have been known to end up with 7 or 8 when I get lost in the galleries!
I do the same thing Michelle does, view each card in a "new window." I read email or forum threads while waiting for those windows to download, comment, then start opening more. Sometimes I get so busy clicking away I lose track of how many windows I have open!
I did two cards this afternoon for this challenge, one for Christmas, and one "anytime" card.

Last one from me this week. I was dying to use the new cardstock, but didn't have the right ink. I am convinced this card would be a lot better with the coordinating inks. I'd love to hear your opinions. This is another one of those cards where I'm thinking the idea was better than my actual product.
By the way, all you gals are doing the most fantastic cards with this sketch. I love them all. You're very inspirational! Happy Weekend!
Love these pocket cards and hadn't got round to making one. Two things spurred me on... this challenge and the fact that my 8-yr-old DD made one at Charleyfarley's house! Can't have the kids beating me to a new technique, so here are my retro efforts:
I finally got my act together and created my first pocket card. I really am delighted that I have started taking part in the challenges. I've tried and learned so many new things! Helps me get out of that creative rut!
Ok ladies, this is my first attempt at a pocket card. I do like the results and will probably try this again in the future. Thanks to our great leader who gives us these challanges.
Okay, here is mine! I had a lot of fun making this one...not to mention the fact that I needed a card for my sister who is having her first baby (due 5 days ago!)...she did her babies room in Zanzibar, or African Safari, theme! Thanks ladies for kicking my butt in gear to get this done...not to mention having fun doing it!
I just wanted to thank AndreaSophie and all who have played along this week. I love ALL the challenges but this I think has been my favorite week. It's so great to see what everyone comes up with using the same general design and it's great that AndreaSophie has been putting up with us for 26 WEEKS now
Great tip. One other way is to hold the shift key down while you click on the link with your mouse. I usually come into a thread like this and just spend the first few minutes clicking all the links to the cards. Check other mail while they all load up. Then come back and view each card at my leisure.

I don't mean to sound like the gallery police or anything (I hope no one gets offended)...I just wanted to mention that the moderators have asked that we don't have a ton of gallery windows open all at once when it's running slow because that makes it worse. I used to always open a bunch of windows too, but since I heard that I've tried to limit myself to 2 or 3 at a time. I mostly do gallery comments after 10pm Pacific when the gallery moves really quickly so it's not an issue.
I've been so inspired by this challenge that I just had to do another one. I used all the colors in the Soft Subtles ink group on this one card and Im not sure why! Ill use this for my granddaughters fifteenth birthday on Monday. The pocket will be a great place for cash. The Card
I hope this works I have never tried to put something on a thread.
I had lots of fun with this and made 3 others almost like it.
Thank you for the challenges I enjoy seeing them but don't get much of a chance to do them. Glad I got to do this one. deba
I'm fairly new to the board and do not have a scanner so cannot upload anything, but I did get a few ideas while viewing these lovely cards...
Pocket cards--what do people put in their pockets?
Pens, wallets, keys, coins, folding money, frogs, balls, etc.
A takeoff to the pocket card could be to actually make it look like a pocket. Using the slanted pocket idea, it could easily be turned into a blue jean pocket and the tag inside could be a shaped cut instead of a regular tag. Perhaps a frog?
Or a shirt pocket with a button on the front plus stitching and cut out pens sticking out (the tag).
How about a pretty pocket, lace trimmed with a cut-out hanky (lace trimmed or using one of the cut-lace punches) for effect?

I appreciate you sharing these comments the way you did. I've never heard that request before. I'll be more mindful of it in the future. So many times people just flame other's when they have a comment to share. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
You've obviously got me hooked on these as I even made a Pocket Card in response tp one of last night's VSN challenges! That's pretty amazing for me as I'm a 'take 2 hours per card' kind of stamper and I had to make this one in less that 40m! Howeber, thisturned out to be the crad I like best out of the 9 VSN challenges I played in. This actually has a pocket card attached to a 'regular' card:
After months without a computer or scanner, I'm finally able to post my sketch challenge creations again. Hooray! These pocket cards are SOOOO much fun to make! I see many of them in my card-making future. Here's my link, pending approval:
