This week's sketch was inspired by a DARLING card done by Chantel. The minute I saw this card I just knew it was going to be great inspiration for a sketch challenge.
To print this layout: - (nc means no color) If you see a small layout click on it or if you see an icon click on the words next to it.
-When the black surround screen appears click only on the layout and a white screen with the layout should appear.
-Right click and click on print from the pop up box or hold down your shift key and P key at the same time.
-Now you're ready to choose print and it should print to actual size of the card depending on your computer.
Very cool card! I'll play along tomorrow, I have scrapbooking stuff all over my stamping space right now, so I have to finish my layout before I can play!

I used this layout, taken from "The Joy of Card Making," for my 4th of July cards. The book showed this "recipe" done with different patterned papers like Chantel's card, as well as using a single background bisected with ribbon or other trim like mine:
I didn't sleep well last night, so I was thinking of stamping and decided to do a Halloween card for this challenge. Apparently, I wasn't the only one! Great minds think alike I guess

Here's mine. I followed this sketch pretty much to the letter. Think I might try another one and try thinking out of the box a bit more. It was hard to improve upon the original card because it was perfect!
I've got very limited stamps here at our summer place now, as we're getting ready to close. This sketch was just perfect for this dilema as well as the occaision.
Here's my first attempt. It's ok, but I realized it didn't really follow the sketch, because my pieces weren't the right sizes. Thanks for looking anyway! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
This is absolutely my favorite challenge of the week, it seems to be the best way to get my creative juices flowing! This is my card, it came out much different than I imagined, but then again, most of my cards do. Has kind of a "brushed metal" look to it...see my card.
This one was a quick thinker lol. My DD had a B-Day party today and at the last min she wants a made card .. So here it is . Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Well, after cutting all the pieces I realized I made it too square, I will definitly have to do another and follow the law of thirds, but here is my first:
