here is my April/May Card - I did 20 of these because I wanted to get a jump start before Summer. I think I might skip June/July - you just don't feel like making Christmas cards then, baby cards or graduation cards....yes, but, Christmas??? So, I am making mine ahead so I can skip those months! Hope this is ok!

I couldn't sleep last night, so I worked on my 'concept' card for April. showed my boys this morning to get a few opinions on different variations. well, the response was interesting!! 12 year old - Mom, that is a really cool card! 13 year old - I like that one! 15 year old - oh my gosh, that scares me! not one of your best!
 okay, not too sure what to do with that one! had some decorative card from Die Cuts with a View left over from my last minute rush last Christmas (nope, I didn't do the challenge last year! that is why I signed up this year! ;) ) the card stock is very busy, so it made it quite the challenge to come up with a semi-decent design. guess it's back to the drawing board!
maybe I'll post it and see what everyone thinks. then you can see how difficult that paper was to work with!
Jennifer
p.s. kudos to those of you already finished! nice cards!

well I went ahead and finished my 'iffy' cards since they were almost done anyway! I'll try to get them uploaded soon, and then all of you can tell me what you think! ;)
Thank you Mama Kristy! I have case'd most of my cards because I am not creative - I can copy something, but, I don't come up with original ideas...when I do...ugh! Not a pretty sight! LOL
I've had my April cards done for a couple weeks, but was waiting until the first to post them. Then I got sidetracked with planting my garden, so I didn't get them posted this weekend. I haven't taken a picture yet, but will try to get them posted tomorrow. They are done, though. Great job to everyone else, your cards are beautiful!
I started these early...but I couldn't finalize what I wanted to do. They didn't come out the way I expected (in my mind), but I tried something new!
Pearl-Ex and hairspray with micropearl color PE, sprayed on the Brocade Blue background. I was hoping it would give a snowy glow, but the hairspray came out in really fine mist. I was hoping for something more "blobby".
I like to use alot of symbolism in my work. The bears are looking up at the star (brad), and the ribbon attached to the brad makes it look like a shooting star (okay, so only in my mind again!). I used By Definition as the background.
Is there anyone out there???? I know it's spring and everyone is probably really busy with yard work and gardening but there has to be a rainy day where you want to work on Christmas cards!!!
It's been a REALLY slow month for people getting holiday cards finished up so I just wanted to send a reminder........ I'm out of town so I can't access the email I normally use on our mailing list so I'm hoping everyone will see this
You all have been doing a great job keeping up so far---don't stop now!!!
Agh!! I keep thinking that I'll start at the beginning of the month. Here it's the 17th already and I haven't started mine yet!
Hum, wonder what I'll use on them this month. Maybe, green mulberry paper?? I'm still working on using up all of it even though I've used it on ALL of my cards I've made for this challenge.
Well, I got it done! I like the country feel that the plaid ribbon gives this card. You can see my sample here: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
It's pretty exciting to have such a great start on my Christmas cards. I really appreciate this challenge!
It has been a crazy couple of weeks. I finally was able to get a picture of my April card uploaded today. I've had these cards done since the middle of March. Anyway, here is my card....
Great cards everyone. I hope to get my April and March cards done by the end of the month. Last month got crazy with Spring break and tax season. I hope to get back on track this month.

I finished april (last week, just slow to upload) I made 16 cards. It's a very simple and easy card. I wanted one that would be easy for new stampers to make: one stamp set and no ribbons or embellishments, just paper. Now I want to make more but this time use ribbon, brads, or other embellishments.
I don't think I am posting these to the right place. But they are in my gallery (which is very small).

I'm done - I did more of the gingerbread men cards - they are so much cuter in person (at least everyone tells me they are!).. I have 40 of them now, but in May I'm going to use my Jingle All The Way or Fairy Nice or my holiday helpers - what to do??? what to do!

I finished my cards for March and April today. I CASEd JulieHRR's beautiful simple Christmas card with the Tis the Season ornament and snowflakes. I don't want to upload on Sunday, so I'll wait to post a picture. I'm so glad to have 40 done!

It's the last day of April and we only have 25 completers this month---your chances of winning the prize are very good in April!!! Come on, folks, let's get those cards done or the Christmas Card fairy is gonna come kick your bootie!!!!
Take some time today to sit and play! Here in the midwest it's cold, windy, and rainy.....what a great day to hide in the "happy place" and make cards.
For those who are patiently waiting to post for May and get that "first done" prize, here's the link for the May thread........ Forums at Splitcoaststampers
If you're still interested in donating for the prize baskets, we're still looking for goodies or $$ for mailing. Drop me a PM and I'll get the address to you.
Ok-I got mine done. I did Loads of Love, but my scanner is being autistic and doesn't want to communicate with the computer. Maybe I can get the picture in soon????
I have mine done for April. I did 13 this month. I will respect the no upload Sunday rule & wait until tomorrow. I will come back & edit my link in here.
