Hi,
Great idea, count me in too! Every year I make a New Year's resolution to be more organized ( along with the rest of the world I'm sure ) and I think this will help at least in this one area!
OK HOW BOUT WE ADD TO THIS CHALLANGE A BIT - no ~ no extra work just an option!!!
I think we should do 10 cards a month until we are done with all our Christmas cards and thank you cards as well......... you can decided if you will work on thank you or Christmas each month as long as you complete the challenge by the last month...
What do ya think?

I'll do it to, I have to make two diffrent sets. One for DH business and one for friends and family. I didn't get all friends and family done so they got a family letter w/ pics on it. They seem to like it but I wanted cards to go with it. I'll start set for friends and family in Feb, but can't start business untill new caddy. We liked the set that SU had on their card. DH said that was the set he wanted too.

I would love to join this challenge. Awesome idea. I also need stamped gifts. There were so many great ideas here in December I couldn't keep up. I have so many things in my faves I want to make in the future.
this is an awesome idea! Please add me to the commitment! I always like to make a variety, this way I can use some of the sets I never got around to using that I wanted to like On Angel Wings and Loads of Love
Thanks!
I guess I'll be in for 10 Christmas Jan through Oct
Stephanie,
NO NO just 10 per month you decide if they will be Christmas or Thank you ~ I am going to do Christmas cards until I have all I need (60 or so) then start working on Thank you cards!!
Hope that helps you stay ahead of the curve!!

Although I should probably be thoughtful enough to send out that many Thank You notes in a year's time, being committed to making 10 a month might send me to the funny farm - or maybe just my rubber room!!!

Do the 30 that I have in pieces sitting on my desk ready to be put together and sent out for this year count? lol! I'm SO FAR BEHIND. I have sent out 50 cards. But I needed to send out 40 more and 30 of those are almost there... I saved all the ones that need to be homemade till last, and they aren't getting them yet! oops!!!
Please count me in too! I posted a similar challenge to another group last year, but didn't get it done. I am determined to get mine done ahead of time this year, so you all HAVE to keep me accountable! Ü

Sounds like a wonderul idea Jami!! I made over 200 cards this year for friends and family so getting an early start will definitely help. I'm shooting to start in Jan. but have to decide what I'm doing first!(that's more of a challenge than making 10 a month ,ha! ha!) I love doing mass production so that's not the problem at all. Anyway, count me in and hold me accountable for meeting my goal!

Pinky, this isn't a swap, we are just being challenged to get our Christmas cards done in advance. When we get 10 done each month we post that we have that month's done-kinda like a support group Ü

I've already posted to get signed up. But I wanted to make a comment. I have seen several people (not just this thread) talk about wanting to send cards with family pictures instead of the traditional Christmas card. I think that is a great idea. But why can't they be stamped as well? I mean, there are lots of options there. We have the tools....between all our cutters and punches surely you can make a picture holder. Cut out a frame and stamp the frame. Stamp the front just like normal and use the slit punch to place the pic inside. Heck, just insert a picture and a letter inside without attaching it at all.
Just an idea. I'm sure someone else has thought of that but no one is saying it so I thought I would.

Angie,
That is what I do- Make the card - take a picture of the whole family download from camera - put on disk - run to Rite Aid and have them printed (I like Rite Aid because they always let me print them out a couple times to make sure they look good after adjusting the color etc...and never charge for doing the beginning prints!) then I stick them and a 1/2 page note in my hand stamped Christmas cards! Whala all done!
I guess that some folks like to incorperate the picture into the card and maybe coordinate the colors of the card with the picture??
That is too much work for me - I will be slipping mine in the middle!

Count me in too! I ended up staying up until 2:00 a.m. finishing up 55 cards. I do not recommend this method. I will start in January and end in November. Thanks for the great idea maybe this will keep me motivated!
I have just another suggestion. How about a monthly "theme" to go with the challenge. Maybe suggest a technique or an embellishment to use for that month. It could be optional of course! Sometimes I lack direction, and to have a certain thing I need to add sometimes get my juices flowing. I also gets me to stretch out of my comfort zone a bit and makes me a better stamper!
I'd like to join in on this also since it is not a swap. Some reason I'm always cuttin it close with a swap. I don't have a problem with 10 cards a month though. I can get some good samples to use next year maybe.
Jami, yes I still want to join and I am sorry that I misunderstood that it was not a swap. It is like an ultimate challenge to yourself to make 10 cards a month w/a support group to help you. I think this will be fun. Please include me.
Thanks,

350!!!!! You are crazy!! I didn't even make half that many cards as swaps to take to regionals! I have already asked to be included in this support group and I have been reading all of the posts as more and more people realize this is a great plan. I have decided to challenge myself a little bit further. I NEVER have the right kinds of cards on hand when an occasion arises. For example, my co-workers birthday that I forgot about or a surprise gift from a student in my kindergarten class that I now need to write a thank you card. So I am going to continue the 10 Christmas cards a month, plus 10 thank you cards a month, and I am going to TRY to do 10 extra cards a month too! I'll let you all know how it goes.
