I would like to join. I have never done this before and have just been lurking for the past couple of weeks. I will need to learn how to post and I don't have a gallery yet. Lots of learning ahead. ;-) Would love to be ahead of the Christmas season next year.
Jamie
Thank you EmGee for continuing this challenge. I am in for 10 cards a month. I did great in 2007...not so great in 2008...so I am looking forward to keeping this up in 2009. :-) LM
PS...Would it be possible to put the links for the various months in your first post in this thread, so they are easier to find? Thanks. :-)
heck count me in too, especially since I will be working on about 60 cards the next couple of days, while planning my dd's 2nd bday, which is in a week Talk about the great procrastinator

I will make 10 each month but every other month will have a new design. I'm always trying to get picked as the favorite for my scrap group's card swaps but never get picked.
It seems like there should be an age limit for my scrap group's card swap but there's not and one of the ladies in our group's teenage daughter always wins.
So maybe if I start designing earlier in the year maybe I'll have a design that I really think is a good contender.
Didn't have to make too many cards this year as last year I had 2 friends come and we had a card making party since I usually send out between 100-150 cards every year between a large extended family and my husband's business. Had enough left over for this year since I didn't send out as many yet! But the supply is now gone so...please include me for 2009 for at least 10 per month! Thanks...
I just got back from Hallmark and...::gasp::! I bought a box of cards! There just wasn't any way I'd get the rest of my cards made, so I'm sending stamped cards to those who I KNOW will appreciate them...and the others will get Hallmark. Next year, though, I will follow through with this challenge and have more than enough handstamped cards made for everyone on my list plus some!
I'm absolutely in!! I probably won't be sending out 120 cards myself, but the rest will go to my dh who will be in Iraq. He can pass them out to people in his unit to send home. I was wondering how I would have the cards done in time to send them over there so they could send them back home in time. This should be a great help!!!!
Thanks!

That's OK. It happens.
I have a friend that does that too.
I'm lucky everyone that I give a handmade card to appreciates it.

Thanks for joining! What a great idea to send the extras to your DH's unit! You KNOW they'll be appreciated!
HELP! Thus sounds great, I am new to this and would love to join the community. I am a busy Mum but need about 120 cards so this sounds a great way to do this. Anybody else new to this with no idea about posting things onto a gallery? would love to chat.
I see in some of your gallery's that you have a folder with just your Christmas cards in it. How do you do that?? I would like to keep my 2009 Christmas cards in one folder. Can anyone help me out?? Thanks Kathy
Sign me up!! I had a great time participating in the 2008 challenge - it feels so great to be able to send out cards without having to worry about crafting them at the last minute!!
I'd like to join also, please. I suppose if nothing else it will make me get brave enough to actually put something besides one measly card in my gallery. I like the idea of not doing what I did this year, and trying to make 55 cards in 3 days. Which have been done for a week but not mailed. (Hey maybe I should just mail the cards when I've finished them each month - now there's a thought! )
I need 55 cards, so I am planning on 5/month. Thanks.

Hey, you know, you could address the envelopes each month too, and just not affix the postage or mail them until Thanksgiving or something, but all the work of addressing them all would be done as well... Hmmmm, I may do this too. Good idea!
I'd like to try this one. I wanted to do it on my own but what a great incentive to be accountable...I'm thinking that I will do 6-7 per month and maybe 3 extra with another theme...I am in the Card Flood swap with Jamie so I have to have 3 for that one each month so that makes up my 10 for each month...of course there are still the other swaps...
Yes!! I need to join this. It wasn't so bad when I wasn't working, but this year I have been very last-minute with my cards, just finished them yesterday, I hope!
5 a month should do me, so count me in .
I don't have a gallery. Can I still join in the fun?
How do I go about getting a gallery?
I've seen so many neat cards here and I love the Wednesday Card sketches. I've used the ideas so often to create great cards - I'm amazed that mine can turn out so good with SCS help!
Several of you have asked how to start a gallery...it's simple...make your card, take a photo of it or scan it, create a file name (e.g., CCC-09 January)
and save it to My Pictures. Open SCS, click on Upload Photo on the left side of SCS's home page. Select a stamp set if it's SU or just use Member Galleries. Click on browse and find the photo in My Pictures and double click on it. Fill in the description and other information and then click SAVE. Presto! You've got a gallery! Just beware- make sure to create a different file name for each photo you upload. If you have 2 photos with an identical file name, SCS will delete the 2nd one posted and you lose your photo and the comments and views that go along with it. You would follow this process for each picture that you want to upload to your gallery. Clear as mud?? If you have questions- please feel free to ask!! There are MANY knowledgable women here!!
