************************************************** ***** That's right! It's almost summer. Can you believe it! Where does the time go???
I will greatly miss Angela, Susan, and Carolina on the team. What fabulous ladies, with fab talent, they are to work with! But I'm sure they'll still be around playing in the CAS challenge forum!
I've been truly amazed at all the excitement over the new CAS challenges. I have seen so much talent, and I hope that many will jump forward and submit a desire to be on the summer CAS Design Team!
DETAILS
* Anyone may apply. Don't be shy! If you want to try this, go for it! No previous design team experience is necessary. If you don't make it this time, there are many more seasons to come.
* You don't have to have a gallery of only CAS cards to be on the team. I love all talented stampers, and when they can carry off WOW cards in many styles... well, that's fantabulous!
* Post your 3 favorite CAS cards from your gallery on this thread. They don't have to be new.
* Please tell me a little about your stamping history on SCS. How long have you been playing in the CAS challenges? Have you ever posted a challenge or a thread? (These are not requirements, but does make it easier for me to put together a "team" with at least one person who has had experience in posting challenges or threads in case I'm unable.)
* Please submit your 3 cards by Monday, May 25. (Memorial Day)
What's Expected
* You would have to make at least one card a week for the months of June, July, and August.
* You would work together before the first challenge to start making a challenge list for the whole summer. So you'll have lots of time to make your cards!
* You would need to upload your card to the gallery between 10PM - 11PM EDT on Sunday night so I can get the challenge posted before midnight.
Remember this is for fun! I can't wait to see all the excitement!
And check in often to cheer people on!

I would love to be considered for this design team! I've not had the opportunity to participate in many of the CAS challenges but LOVE this style. I was honored as WICKED Challenge hostess in the SUB in November of last year but that is my only experience with posting a challenge. Thanks to the current hostesses for posting some great challenges!
Here are three postings...two were challenges; the other is one I designed for my stamp clubs.
Hi Jen. I've participated in about 90% of the CAS challenges and most other challenges here at SCS for the past year and a half. I've been a Virtual Stamp Night hostess twice, where several of my ideas were used for the Viva Las Vegas mini and upcoming main event. I've also hosted the Friday Limited Supplies challenge this year in March. I currently host 2 weekly challenges at Christian Paper Crafts Magazine of Fun on Friday, which is a challenge that is fun and can be just about anything. The second challenge is for our CAS, CASE Artist Saturday. Before starting the magazine, I was on 3 design teams simultaneously. I'm pretty well versed in challenges and making my way around the boards from an admin point of view, setting up galleries, providing assistance to participants when needed, etc. And, I have a ton of ideas for future challenges.
I have participated in all the CAS challenges since they started and I am a "DT" member on Natasha's Clean and Simple Stamping blog: http://cleanandsimplestamping.blogspot.com/
I have been participating in the SCS challenges since January 2005. I would love to be on the CAS challenge DT! This has become my favorite challenge of the week. Thanks in advance for considering me. Harriet

I’ve been a splitcoast member for just over three years now and I love it here! I've participated in all of the CAS challenges so far and I have to admit that it's my favorite weekly challenge. I have posted threads here on splitcoast; although I’ve never hosted a challenge before.
Thank you for the opportunity to apply for the summer CAS design team. I’d also like to thank you Jen, Angela, Susan, and Carolina for all your hard work in making the CAS challenges possible!
I am so excited! You have no idea how worried I was about making this a thread instead of having people sending me emails. I lose track of emails, especially because I forget to go check it. LOL! I thought a one stop place would be easier and people could cheer each other on and get excited. When I posted it, I thought, oh no.. I hope this doesn't backfire. What if people are shy and I'm begging in the final days? :p
Thank you for you sweet ladies who jumped right in quickly! This is going to be so exciting over the next couple of weeks! (Well, until I will have to choose. It's truly agonizing to choose. I have to keep telling myself, the Fall will be here before we know it and we'll do it all again. LOL!)

I would love to be part of the CAS DT! This has become one of my favorite challenges of the week! I am so glad I stumbled upon it, and that it now has a place among the other challenges on the home page!
I have posted challenges for VSN, VSBN, and have helped Jennipher out with the Monday Scrapbook inspiration challenge before.
Thanks for this opportunity. I've been doing SCS since 2007 and I love it. I have never been on a design team, but I think I have what it takes to design CAS cards. I would love the opportunity.
oooo, Jen, I hope you have some help deciding. I'm seeing lots of talent! I would love to join the team! I have hosted a MFT Ambassador Challenge two months ago and have started many threads. I feel like I know my way around SCS pretty well! I've been stamping for about 8 years now have to get a little stamping in almost everyday. I've been playing along with the CAS challenges since week 4, when I discovered them. I've been playing every week since! I love to start my week out with them.

Good morning, Jen! I would love to join the team as well. I've had a really difficult time choosing my favorite cards...too many choices! But here are 3 that I like today! Not all of them are challenge cards.
I have been a member since 2005 when I was first exposed to this wonderful site, and a fan club member since the following year. Of course I have posted threads...and replied to threads...and created downloads for people to use...and commented in galleries...I spend altogether a ton of time participating here. My uber-favorite place to spend time! I have played the challenges, and have participated in every CAS except one (the ribbon one...and I intend to go back and catch that one soon...have a bunch of ideas) I have hosted challenges before...for the NCG (non-convention-goers) challenges on the demo side.
Thanks for being dedicated to the CAS look...and for doing these challenges for us! Love it!

Jen -- pick them all!!! I'm just amazed at the talent on SCS.
Wanda
I know! This challenge sure has brought attention to so many talented stampers. It has been such a fun 3 months seeing all the talented CAS artists posting their creations!

I agree there is a LOT of CAS talent out there. Just think - who ever you chose you can't go wrong!! I love looking at the cards people are posting as their favorites - I am finding one or two cards that I missed!

First of all, I'd just like to say. I've looked at the cards posted here and there are some fabulous ones. You're all great stampers! Please don't consider whoever gets on the design team to be the WINNERS and those who don't to be the LOSERS. You're all great and I'm sure it'll be super tough to chose between all these and the ones who are still to post yet. Everyone, be proud of yourselves and your cards!
I hope Miss Boo does have help picking and doesn't lose sleep over this! As a huge fan of challenges I look forward to the challenges in the future. Thanks to everyone who puts so much work into this. It's made me a much better stamper!

I am not considering this a competition, but an opportunity because there is so much talent out there and no one is BETTER than anyone else.
I just found about and started trying challenges in Feb of this year. I've LOVED doing all kinds of different challenges. I joined SCS in July 2007 and have absolutely LOVED this site and seeing people's work!
I've posted threads, but never a challenge thread. I know how to link to things and post thumbnails!
I'd love the opportunity to work on this with a team and post each week in the summer.

You are so right about the challenges Trish, especially the CAS ones, because we are all so used to having to put so many things on a card for it to be "perfect" and having to think simple is a challenge! I agree with you about the winners and losers statement too. Everybody here is a winner just for simply posting their project to share with others. I also think that it's a great idea for the current DT to help Jen make this very difficult decision. I know a lot of other DT follow that when switching out members. I, too, have missed a lot of stampers by looking at the submissions on this thread.
And for Dara, I'm glad to see you come out and apply for this.
I was so excited to see this opportunity and I'd love to be on the CAS design team! I have been so inspired by this group of talented stampers. I've taken part in the challenge only a few times so far - but I've posted threads and participated often in SCS forums and challenges for the last five years. I just rotated off of the Stamp Something DT and would love the chance to be part of this challenge team.
Well, you said don't be shy, so here are three of my favorite CAS cards. I really enjoy the SCS site and have learned so much. I usually participate in lost of the weekly challenges. I have never been on a DT but I would sure like to give it a go!

I'll throw my hat in the ring. I'm a serious SCS addict and have been stamping since 1998. I haven't posted any challenges, but I sure enjoy playing along. I've participated in all of your CAS challenges, Miss Boo! I've posted several threads, so I'm pretty familiar with this great website, too. Here are my three favorites:
Wow! All of you who posted samples here are amazing. I just love finding new favorites to stalk! I wish I had the time to commit but I would never be able to keep up.

I love the CAS challenges and have been participating in them since the beginning, even though I've missed one or two. I've been on SCS even longer than the date under my picture, but that shows over three years. I have never posted a challenge, and have only started a thread or two, but I'm confident I could do both
Thanks for hosting the challenges, and good luck with your choices. You can't go wrong with the talent available to you, for sure!!!
Please consider me! I have been on SCS for about 2 years now, and have been a stamper and scrapbooker for about 10 years. I do a lot of the SCS challegnes, including a few of the CAS challenges (I just found the thread!)more recently focusing on scrapbooking, but I swing through the card challenges often! I have never been on a design team, but I own a custom card/scrapbook design service.
What fun!!!! I've been a member of SCS since 2005. I have not posted any challenges or threads but have participated in a number of them, including the CAS challenges.
When I first started cardmaking, I made CAS cards because that's all I knew. As I grew as a stamper/cardmaker, so did my number of layers and embellishments. But it was time consuming to make such elaborate card. I find it so enjoyable to being coming back around to CAS again after all these years. And I really enjoy these weekly challenges so I would like to be considered for the Design Team.
I first found out about the weekly CAS challenge at week 6. I have been participating every week since then. One day I hope to catch up on the first 5 too.
Although I have not hosted a challenge on SCS, I was the weekly sketch coordinator on another stamping website for almost 2 years.
I am currently on a weekly blog DT and was the guest designer for a stamp manufacturer.
It was so hard to choose just three CAS cards in my gallery for submission, but I narrowed it down to these:
I think I've participated in every CAS challenge except one so far. I haven't ever posted a challenge here on SCS, but I've started many threads. I currently design for Paper Blooms, and have been a guest designer for 365 Cards and Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge, so I'm prepared to meet the demands of this team, too, if given the chance.
I've really enjoyed all of the CAS challenges so far, and I'm looking forward to more of the same! Good luck to everyone, especially you, Jen--I don't know how you're going to choose!
