I managed to come up with a few things that might pass for Chinese *wink*...not as authentic as some of the other beautiful cards, but this was the best I could do with what I have....this card is also for the Criss Cross card Challenge from yesterday.

This was a tough color challenge for me. I don't have any gold ink or paper, so I was limited to embossing powder and Pearl-Ex. I like how it came out....but it seems a bit dark for me.
With Sympathy
Fun challenge Emily.

Well, this is as "asian" as my stamps get. I'm always drawn to those stamps, but never buy them because I don't know what I'll use them for!!
Had an unopened (generic)gold stamp pad that was completely diried out. Threw that one away!!! I just happened to dig around in the scrap bucket and find this gold mulberry paper, but then I used so little of it.
Anyways, hope you like it!!!

Love this color combo and Happy Chinese New Year!
here's mine....not real thrilled with it and a crummy pix to boot, but here it is. It's so frustrating when you have an idea in your mind and you just can't quite get it in paper!

Here's my very quick and simple card, made with the only asian themed stamps I own. I have a friend who always sends out Chinese New Year cards, so I will be sending this to her.

This challenge was really tough for me...in fact, when I saw the colors I almost didn't do it.. But I ended up doing it and I am so glad I did. The card was fun to make and it was neat to do something outside my comfort zone. Thanks, Emily, for the challenge. I don't know how you think of all of these...but thanks!

Oh my....I had the hardest time with this color combo. Ditched two attempts, had a nap because of a terrible sinus headache and now I'm back. Hate the pic but I'm finally happy with the card...

CC102 -
Chinese New Year
I had so much fun with this one - I did a lot of dry embossing and very little stamping. This is by far one of the most rich and elegant cards I have created in a long time - I put more details on
my blog
Thanks for the springboard ladies!
Hope you like it!
