CC838 - It's back to the basics: BASIC, BASIC, and BASIC - 4/6/2021
HelloColorChallengeFans!... It's my pleasure to be your Color Challenge hostess for this week's CC838! It's my hopes you had a wonderful Easter weekend and that the joy of the season filled your heart.
For this week's colors selection, we will be going back to the 'Basics'... Basic Black, Basic White, and Basic Gray with the dessert option of adding 'your favorite color'. I'm hoping you can bring life to these hum-drum colors by adding your favorite color. We would be delighted if you participated in sharing your take on this weeks challenge!
It's time to celebrate Karen's CC837 favorite! Drum roll please...Congratulations, Kari B., Karen selected your design 'Hey Hexy' as her favorite. She said, "Oh, those sweet dainty little daisies on the beautifully distressed background - the perfect combination!!!"
Congrats Kari! The code to add the favorite badge to your blog is located at the bottom of the post. We will also feature your card on the Color Challenge Pinterest board. See that HERE.
Listed below are the colors I have chosen for this week's challenge: It's back to the Basics: Basic, Basic, and Basic, which translated means:
BASIC BLACK BASIC WHITE BASIC GRAY
And now for the dessert option... spice up those basic colors with "ADDING YOUR FAVORITE COLOR"!
Take note, you are always welcome to use neutral shades from Stampin' Up in addition to the challenge colors. You can find those colors HERE.

Since it's a new month we are welcoming a new guest designer. Joining us for the month of April and bringing her paper crafting skills is Penni aka razldazl. Penni was our fave from CC793, CC811, CC817 & CC824.
For you inspiration this week here are some samples from our design team:
Please keep in mind that while Stampin' Up colors are listed for the challenges, these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!
Please put CC838 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge use a comma to separate them). We want to be able to find your cards!
this color scheme was a bit of a stretch for me- Went with a rather cute crocodile, keeping to a basics color scheme with the addition of green. Swapped out the grey with silver glitter paper, and added a dotted background. Note that the bird and frog are safely away from those jaws! Here's Crocodile Kisses

Here is my card. I used B&W polka dot paper and added washi tapes in my favourite colour. Thank you for the challenge.
