I've just recently started using them in some of my projects and I like the idea that you can resize the images. I haven't had a problem with smearing with my OMS and Prismacolor pencils. I LOVE my rubber and clear stamps but, it's nice to have an alternative. JMO
I tried to heat set a digi stamp on good quality paper (PTI) and it worked much better....Very little (if any) smudging of the black outline. I used regular prisma pencils, some water color and my DOVE blending pen.....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my DOVE blending pens!!!!
I love my rubber stamps, wood and clear, but I enjoy the digital stamps, also.
Don't intend to ever quit purchasing the REAL thing. Here are a couple of cards I made with the digi's and really enjoyed it.

Reason: Add on info: Love Birds are from Digital Stamp Oasis and All Dressed Up is from Squigglefly.
I have also been grabbing up Dustin Pike's free images which are awesome! Here's a couple cards I have made with some of the digital images I've gotten:

I actually used an image I found on a free color book site. Just saved the picture and then opened it in my photoshop and printed the size I needed. Work great and saved a few for some other day.

Jami your card is beautiful!!I also have a challenge posted on my blog (see siggy), to use a digi stamp, digi-paper or digital sentiment. I will be posting them every two weeks.
I'll be back to post the card I made but someone mentioned Dustin Pike's site...so I went in search of. Found it here! Used the little bee to make a card...it was a freebie. I'd never used digital stamps before but am quickly becoming addicted to them!

I love that little bee, haven't had time yet to use it!:(
ok, I'm thinking I am now addicted to digital stamps!!! Here is my card...it was so fun to make. I wanted to see all the different mediums I could use. I only had a bit of smearing with my Marvy Markers (my Copics were great) and with the stickles. I also used crystal effects, versamarker to emboss, gamsol and pencil and they all worked just fine. It was also very easy to do my paper piecing...I love to paper piece! I'm in search of more sites!!! Keep adding them, I've subscribed to this thread!

Not only are they right at hand but have you tried printing them on glossy photo paper, I just adore the effect, it looks really professional.
Here is one that I made with my 3" flower border (works with large circle Nesties).
I colored on the glossy paper with COPIC's and it stayed on perfectly with no smearing at all!!:p

Love that card Wendy! I definitely have to give glossy CS a try. Love that border!
Just subscribing...I'm interested in what people think about digistamps.
