I have been trying-trying-trying in the past month or so to pull myself out of the same-ol/same-ol rut ... yknow what Im talkin about?? When ALL your cards start lookin like the SAME OL thing??? Ive been really trying to stretch my layout muscles so that I do something DIFFERENT (well, at least different for ME!!).
One of my new favorite things to do is to lay with strips of paper .... I love the effect you get when you criss-cross different patterns/textures to enhance your background.
Soooooo...... with that said, your challenge is simple ... cut out some paper strips and cross em up!!! (Better yet??? Use up some of your strip SCRAPS!!! I KNOW you have em!!)
My sample will hopefully help you make sense of my jabbering description above:

Wendy, what a neat challenge. I reread your challenge twice to be sure I wasn't cheating. I really only crossed 2 strips and layered another. I usually combine the F4A challenge with the QFTD one(I only have so much time to devote to card-making and ensuing comment-leaving). Thanks for hosting the challenge today.
Thanks for the fun and different challenge Wendy.
When I saw it I immediately thought it would make a great card for Featured Stamper Lydia (Understand Blue). Here's my card for her...
I uploaded my card yesterday, but forgot to post here, lol! I love this challenge, and after seeing all the wonderful cards in the gallery, I have plenty of ideas how to use my scraps. Here is my card: Braided Paper Card
