I did another challenge. Happy B'day, Jen. I made this card in less than 15 min., so easy. Thanks for getting me back into the challenges! I have missed them. Here is my card:
Oops - I forgot it was supposed to be a birthday card when I was choosing the sentiment, and I wasn't going to wreck a Fabriano card by trying to change it! If I get a chance I'll try to do another one today. At least this makes it more like a real VSN card -- I always make at least one blunder on those!
Thanks for the challenge, Jen. I always make cards for 5-10 minutes at a time, in between changing diapers, getting snacks, wiping butts, cleaning spills, changing laundry... I'm really not sure if I kept it to 45 min total but I'm pretty sure it was close!
wow! happy birthday, Jen! I am off to clean off my stamp table and get started! Thanks for the fun challenge! Everyone has done such great cards and now I am wishing I hadn't lent out {wild about You} ! Oh well, I have others that will work just fine! I am off to stamp.....

Had to make another one 'cause I just couldn't get this image out of my head last night (I was dreaming about stamps. Do I have a problem?) so I had to make it into a card today. Perfect for this challenge...

45 minutes..... Gulp!! Well this is what I came up with so I didn't have time to think of a great layout, so the layout is plain because I spent all my time on the focal point, cutting, cutting, cutting, but I made the time line!
Ok I have to admit it !! I FLUNKED this challenge,, 3 times even!!! Do you ever get an idea and it just won't make it to paper? That is what happened and I am so stubborn i won't give it up!! LOL
But since I wanted to wish Jen a Happy Birthday I thought I would post my final result!!

I thought I could get this one done in 45 easy, but between my son spilling his milk all over the table, my daughter text messaging me about a bomb threat at her school, and sitting my butterfly in an ink pad while I texted her back, I barely managed. Luckily, her school is fine, but she is still a little freaked out. Anyway... on a happier note, here's my card...
Happy Birthday Jen...You have a cruel streak. 45 minutes.... Had to use bits & pieces from unused projects in the flubbed/scrap drawer to stay ubder 45 minutes. The elephant is lifting off with the alligator in tow to cover up flubbed parts. This was exhausting, I hope you're happy! Your challenges are such a bright part of Friday's, I got home early just so I could play. Now, I need an Ice Tea just to relax from this challenge. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

here is my wild joy. I did it in the time limit, the stamping, cutting, coloring, etc. I don't think the designing in our heads should count, right? Thanks for another great challenge Jen, Happy Birthday!

Well, here is mine FINALLY! I got an important phone call right in the middle of my first attempt and didn't get off the phone for over an hour. When my DS (5) came home from school he saw my card for this challenge by the computer and asked what it was for. I told him it was for a challenge here at SCS. He got really excited and said he wanted to make a birthday card for the "contest" too. He picked out all the stamps and colored them with his SU kids markers. He says that's his favorite technique right now, so all the colors can be where they should be on the stamp. He said he wanted the penguin to hold the cake with his foot.
