Congratulations to thecardpixie for correctly guessing my favorite LSCs! Clues were given in the contest thread and in my gallery throughout the week! Great detective work!
We've never had a repeat week in the LSC. So in honor of the holiday season, this Friday, I am posting 3 repeat challenges. I have lots of favorites, but these are my all-time favorites!
I love snowmen. I collect them and I love to stamp them. Have you noticed that most cards with snowmen use the color blue? This week's challenge is to stamp one or more snowmen onto a card, tag, or scrapbook page without using any shades of blue. It can be done! Don't have any snowman stamps? How about using circle punches or tags? Or square punches or tags... Who said snowmen must be round? There's a great square snowman sample in the original challenge.
Stamps: snowman/snowmen plus any other stamps you may wish to add Cardstock/ink: any colors except shades of blue Embellishments: any (just not blue!)
INSPIRATION: Have you experienced this? You find this awesome card in the gallery with an image set you actually have, but you can't duplicate it because you don't have all the supplies that were used. Or maybe you found an idea for a card that requires a certain image, but you only have a similar image. If yes, this challenge is for you!
CHALLENGE: Find a card in your Favorites or in the Gallery that you would like to CASE. Make 2 or more substitutions.
UPLOADING: In your description, include an explanation of the substitutions made AND please include the original artist's name and a link to the card you CASEd. If you have difficulty with the link, please include the original artist's name.
Please do not CASE Dirty Dozen designs. The DD gallery is for Fan Club members only. Thanks for your understanding!
I saw her cards and immediately thought of how wonderful this is for new stampers with a limited supplies of stamps. Remember how long it took to collect enough to actually feel like you could make something? Let's help our new stamping friends. Here's what you'll need... along with the directions
Stamps: one image set, 1-2 BGs, sentiment set optional Cardstock & Ink: one neutral and 2-3 colors Accessories: any
DIRECTIONS: Make 2-4 cards using the SAME main image and color scheme. Things that can change to make each card unique are backgrounds, layouts, and accessories. The main idea is to get many different looks using one main image. It can also show the importance of backgrounds and layouts on cards... how it can really make a card great and/or how it can really change the look of an image for a totally new card.
UPLOADING: Scan or take a picture of all the cards together and call it "Which one?" In the comments section, you may want to ask viewers to tell you which one is their fave. Have fun stamping!
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

Man, you are really going to make us work, aren't you? That's not just 3! Do I have time for this. I still have to get a present made - sewn. Thanks, Jen.

No playing until you have all your chores done! ;)
Wow! This should be fun. I do have a non-blue snowman creation in my gallery -- Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I remember the CASE challenge, but not the Which One challenge. Thanks, Jen, you're going to keep us busy for days!

Oh, I can't sew tonight, because my machine is in the same room as the TV, which is occupied at the moment by DD and friend (probably till very late!). But I can stamp ...
LOL - I was lucky (or not) and had to do all my house work on Tuesday, because they had to show our house. I am doing NOTHING now till after Christmas, well, except the nessecities (sp?) !!
Wow! Looks like you'll keep me busy for days with all of these. I hope I get a chance to try one or maybe all of these this weekend. My cleaning is done and I have just a pie and cake to bake, so...... I have no excuses. Thanks Jen for always coming up with interesting things for us to challenge ourselves. And Merry Christmas everyone!!
Yippee! Perfect timing, today was the last day before Winter Break. I hope to squeeze in some stamping. Thanks for posting the challenges, Jen. I am going to sleep on it!
OK. Not lovin' this completely but it will have to do. It is the first challenge I have been able to do in a couple weeks. Now I must go to bed. Happy Holidays everyone!
here's my card for LSC95/LSC36.. i bought this paper to make christmas cards, but didn't get to it. i think i have the perfect person to give it to as well!!! thanx jen.
I'm posting to subscribe. DH and I are leaving tonight for our trip home for Christmas. I doubt I will have time to do this before I leave but I want to take on the challenges when we get back.

Here is my first card. I started with LSC36 - snowman without blue. I never thought about it before, but you were right Jen, all my previous snowman cards have blue in them - go figure?? Anyway, I had fun with this one and also used this week's sketch challenge on this card. Thanks for a great challenge!! Snowman
Wow, this will keep me busy! I love doing these challenges as it keeps my cards from becoming too boring. I've got about 80 swap cards due next month so this will help get a start on them!!:?

I took the morning off to clean the house and get ready for relatives arriving today - my dh was supposed to keep me off the computer this morning so I wouldn't be tempted to stamp (didn't work) .... now theres not one, not two, but THREE challenges I want to do. Oh what to do... what to do.....
Thanks for the THREE challenges today Jen!!! I haven't stamped anything all week, I feel like I definitely need some stamp therapy! Plus, I still have new rubber in my starter kit that I haven't even mounted yet!!!
I'm popping in from work to say that I am suffering from "Challenge Withdrawal". I haven't been able to play in the challenges for almost two weeks and my hands are getting shaky and my right eye is starting to twitch. Especially today as the LSC is my favorite one to play in. I am so appreciative of all you do for us, Jen.
I'm picking up my sister and family today at the airport at 1:00 and then will be off work all next week for the holiday. I'm hoping I will get to stamp some and maybe even entice my sister to try and stamp a little. She always says she doesn't have a creative bone in her body.....but she just doesn't realize what stamping provides and how much creativity it allows anyone.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and are blessed beyond measure. I know while this time of year is so joyful for mulititudes it is a hard and sad time for many others. I wish everyone peace, love and a calm spirit. {{{hugs}}} I want you to know how much I love all the friends I have made here on SCS. You are all wonderful and a blessing to me.
Thanks for this challenge and all that you have done. Not much to do but sit here in deep thought. Wow, three. Let's see what I can do. I already know who I'm casing
Happy Holidays
Joyce
Thanks Jen for a good start to my day. I got the first one done and as soon as Christmas vacation is official and I'm home from school I'll get busy with the other two. I am so ready for that vacation!!! A whole week of stamping
Combined a few of the missed challenges with this one.
