Isn't this a bit ridiculous to pay that amount of money???? Does anyone have a pic of the stamp? I'd like to see what is so great about it....My curiousity is getting the best of me!*L*
Those bids were placed before the question relating to the "huge lot" was answered. I wonder if they thought that they would in fact be getting a "huge lot". I would be one ticked off motor scooter if I hadn't noticed that and bid on it. Yes, it would be my fault for not seeing it in the full text, but that is definately false advertising. Tacky!!
Someone way back mentioned about a bidder bidding 12 out of 13 times and it was the same bidder.this once happened to me until I realzed what what happening.but not really sure why it does this.
I also found out in a hurry that I was placing a bid on a SU stamp set which I went to about 22.00 dollars. But as I was putting my bid in it kept telling me that I was out bidded by a higher bidder. So of course I kept going higher.until I reached my goal then I gave up.anyway it kept saying that I was being outbidded.finaly I gave up and stopped.after going back and reviewing it again.there was no other bidder only myself bidding against myself.because The same person that was there when I started showed up the same amount.which was 12.00 or something like that.
So I'm not really sure why it kept doing that.but you can bid against yourself over and over.but it has to take your lower bid from what I understand.if you are the only bidder.does anyone else have this happen to them.
I can't help but wonder if she went onto another computer herself and did this to raise the price.then others would take a chance at upping her bid then she would actually have a ton a money for 1 stamp.
it should say that she is the higher bidder so she shouldn't bid against herself like that because what's the purpose of paying that when she could get it much cheaper.

You're not bidding against yourself. If someone puts in a maximum bid, and you keep entering individual bids, only the highest bid from the person who entered a max will show up. So it looks like you're bidding against yourself, but you're not. KWIM? So if person A bids $2.99 with a maximum of $20.00 on 11/9, and you bid $3.25 (with a max of $3.25) on 11/10, it will say you've been outbid. If you look at the bid history it will show you your bid of $3.25 on 11/10 and person A's at $3.50 on 11/9. If you then enter another bid of $4.00 (with a max of $4.00), again you are outbid. Bid history then shows you $3.25, you $4.00, person A $4.25. It deletes the $3.50 because that wasn't the max person A allowed on their bid. So higher bids can have earlier bid dates. Hope that makes sense.
Alright as an Ebay addict (buyer and seller), who feels strongly about ethical trades........this bugged me - particularly when the question/answer about intentionally adding words like "Huge, Mix, Lot" for one item showed up!!!! So I played a bad guy! I reported the listing yesterday. Based on the email (canned I know) I cannot see how the listing can actually last through the end, but we'll see:

I reported it W-A-Y back on the first day of this post. So far its still there. I Can not believe that eBay is allowing the auction to keep going.
IMO i agree with those that posted about it not being shill bidding, it will show the same person over and over until they are outbidded, their name will appear every time someone bids against them but not outbids them.
Last night I sent a question to the seller asking him if the high bidder will be disappointed if he/she receives only the one stamp, because they may have though they were bidding on a group of stamps. His answer was none to friendly, but then I was not being too friendly when I asked the question either. Here is his reply...
Stamping women, why do you guys have to be so.? I put those things in the title to bring up my auction, not to mislead people. Ebay tells you to do this to draw attention to your auctions. Yes, it is the one stamp. The auction says one stamp although the title says many words to attract potential bidders. It has had 1400 hits so far. If you are going to sell anything, you should do the same. Unlike some who still put (not stampin up) which is not allowed but it does bring up the stampin up name in the search. I don't believe that you should ask such questions unless you intend to bid. What does it matter if I answer you or not. You just bug me so please don't do it again or I'll have to report harrassment at ebay. Have a great day! Whew!!
I agree with Farmwife and Julie S,, this isnt a stamp I would want and I dont think it looks that great. A bunny with flowers on his butt and a muffler, and a connection to haiku.. Really weird,,,,, oh well, to each his own, I guess.
