I keep looking at them thinking "why don't any of the uppercase match the lower case?" I bought them anyways with a couple of different ideas in mind for using them.
I don't have the spring catalog but saw this set on the SU site. The letters look really small. How do you use them? Cut them out? As a block? Just curious!!
Each alphabet is a block stamp. Two punches are being offered (round and square) so that you can punch the individual letters out after you stamp them.

You cut them with the new quarter inch square or circle punch. Or you can use them as a whole as a background stamp or maybe even use it with only certain letters colored in. The possibilities are endless.
I have the I'm Here set, and you can do the same thing with the alphabet block in that set--punch out the letters with 1/4" punch. I've used it that way many times with adorable results! My Alphabits are arriving tomorrow as well! Can't wait to play!
I'm a little confused  , are the new punches long enough to reach or would you have to cut the stamped image in half and then punch out your letters?
I think you'll have to cut it apart to reach the letters you want to use. Just guessing here, but the punches look like they don't go any further in than the pig nose punch.
Hope that helps! I'll be able to tell you all more later today - when my stuff is delivered!

The new punches are the lever style, not the hand held kind. They should be long enough to reach the letters. I hope so, that's another plan I have for the set.
Still trying to decide about those little cuties....like you guys would actually try to talk me out of them., right?
You KNOW if you get these you'll need both punches, right? And some new stamps and cardstock to go along with them! And maybe some background paper too. Don't forget some accessories like ribbon and eyelets, brads and mesh, punches and...
Um...I mean...of COURSE we will try and talk you out of them!

Susan...you are bad! I love that!!!! I ordered that set too as well as both punches! Mine won't be here until Thursday. It's just not right! I need to hold some new spring mini sets in my hands....NEED to!

I think the alphabet blocks are small enough that you can reach all the letters from at least one side or another with the punches. At least, the one in the I'm Here set is like that...

The punches reach pretty well *IF* you stamp on a piece of paper just that size. Yes - I've had my set since last Thursday and have used it several times. The hardest letter for me to reach was the "n", but at my Techniques Class last night, some had trouble reaching the "r". Just watch the size of the paper you use.
I LOVE this set and the folks in my class last night were already asking about it. Gotta love THAT!!! LOL!
Oh - I ordered that set and both punches. Everyone liked having the choice of circles or squares. Also, you can turn the punch a little and make it a diamond. Just FYI!
