We're on the downhill slope now. Here's my version of Tag 7, which is the closest to Tim's that I've done.
I happened to have a little of the Kraft Glassine paper that a friend gave me, but I was trying to think of what you could use as a substitute. Does anyone have any ideas?

Everyone's tags are great! I just don't seem to have time to do any tags with Christmas shopping and preparations and a short trip out of town next week. Maybe I will do mine in January for next Christmas. Does anyone know of a way to make the pine cones without a Tim Holtz pine cone die?
Was not impressed with today's tag. it's just OK. But I bet you ladies can spice it up a bit with your versions! Let's see what you have done!
I think the metalized tag would look a lot better if it had been "antiqued" with either a walnut paint dabber or something similar. (Paint over the painted tag then wipe off the excess.) I wasn't crazy about the bright colors he chose and I usually love bright colors.

I'm playing too but had very little of what he uses, so did my own versions.
I posted in my photos here at splitcoast and on my blog I have 4 and plan on posting 3 more today. Trash to Treasure Art

Yes I bought some natural wax paper. its tan in color, a little lighter than the glassine but you can layer it with two layers and works pretty well and a entire roll is only a few $'s

Lynn, you did a great job on yours and I love how you have substituted and used what you already have. I enjoyed looking at your blog also.

My friend Shelly made her pine cones for Day 1 without using the die. Here's how she did it. Ironically, she owns the die, she just wanted to try making a pine cone without the die.
Here are my tags for Day 8 and Day 9. I just finished the Day 9 tag a little while ago, and now it's almost 2 a.m. where I am. In fact, Tim will be putting up Day 10 in about 15 minutes. I guess I should stay up for that.
Y'all, I love my Day 9 tag so much. I die cut a bird with actual feathers on it. I guess I should go hide the tag from my cats before I go to bed.

I don't see it mentioned here and thought you ladies might be interested. . .if you are enjoying the TH tags, you may enjoy the "feminine twist" companion tutorials on the Ellen Hutson, LLC, Classroom blog:
I'm so impressed with all your tags. How do you guys work and still do the 12 tags, especially at this time of year? I got 35 fewer Christmas cards done this year, just got up the tree yesterday, haven't finished cleaning the house, the baking hasn't started yet and I'm retired!!! My hat is off to all of you. You are an inspiration!!!

I wouldn't have time to do all 12 at this time of year but it might be fun to try them in January. As a suggestion for your cards, I found it a great help to be in the Christmas Card Challenge (CCC11). If you're not familiar, it is a personal challenge to yourself to make a certain amount of cards per month from January to November (you get December off LOL!). I needed around 40 cards but committed doing 6 per month. I must it was hard to get in the Christmas card making mood when it was 90 degrees in my house on the occasional July and August day, but I did it! I'm so glad I have this one little stressor out of the way to not have to make cards during December, unless I want one for someone, not need one. Please consider signing up for CCC12!

Thanks for the suggestion. I always say Im going to o that, but since I have 10-20 cards per month to make and send, I am challenged to get those done. Then, this year we have traveled a lot, so I wasn't at home to stamp. In addition, I ordinarily send out 75 Christmas cards---all different---so it turns out to be a time consuming, although fun, job. Maybe a New Year's resolution is in order.

I did 6 the same each month and the assembly line style helped with time. However, I ran out of months before I got to use all the new Christmas stamps I've bought in the last year. I'm a sucker for Christmas stamps and I'm going to force myself to use my unused ones first before even considering buying another Christmas stamp in 2012. I know I'll fail somewhat because I'll see a lovely stamp that "I must have" LOL! I need a Stampers Anonymous group LOL!

You can do it . I managed not to buy any Christmas stamps this year - by the time the new releases were out I was so near finishing my cards that it was easy-ish to resist.
I just couldn't find the time for the tags, but I love seeing the techniques. I still use the alcohol ink plaid technique from two years back.
