Default 12 x 12 Silly scrapbook question

Ok, here it goes. it says I can ask a question with no laughing. (haha ) How in the world do you scan a 12 x 12 scrapbook page without cutting it off so I can download it on the site? Can anyone help????? I know its probably so simple and going right over my head.

No way is that a silly question...I need to do the same for a scrapbook I did for my grandfather's funeral (we displayed the scrapbook pages on poster board then put them in the scrapbook for a keepsake). Anyway, we wanted to scan the pages to make a CD to give out to the family...except for taking pics of the pages and then uploading them onto the computer, i suppose you would need access to a scanner that would scan an image that big...maybe some printing place such as Kinko's or someplace like that. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

If you want to scan the pages in (works way better than taking a pic using a digtal camera imo) and don't have one of the specialty large scanners, you can scan each side in separately to generate two files that between them contain your whole layout. Then you need to use software that can stitch the two files together. That's about all I know about it, but hopefully now you have some keywords to google with, or search in SCS forums with. Good luck!

If you have Adobe Photoshop, it would be pretty easy - what software do you have?

Ok, if you don't mind going to Kinko's, they do have a scanner available. A friend of mine had a poster board made of 12x12 pages that she had scanned, shrunk and printed for each month of her daughters 1st year of life. I'm sure they can scan and put it on a disc. That's what I'm planning to do since I have a lot of pages and don't want to fiddle with the computer too much.
