I just uploaded my 1st card....finally. I have been holding off on doing so, because I am so worried about not crediting the right person for things that I have cased.
I save ideas from here and then print them off and store them in a binder, so I don't remember where or who the idea orginally came from. I am just happy to have ideas!!
So, what is the best way to go about giving credit when uploading?? I don't want to do anything wrong or offend anyone. I am so grateful to have this site for ideas and support!!!

Congrats on the first card upload! I keep thinking I should do the same thing, just haven't got to it yet.I'm going to have a look now at your hard work!

YAY to you for taking the big step to start your own gallery! I remember when I first uploaded and how scared, and then excited I was!
As far as giving credit, if the layout was inspired by someone or something, or if the style of the card was inspired by someone or something, or you directly cased someone, then just a little nod to that person/place in the description area of the upload is sure a nice thing to do. I've given inspiration credit to things like magazine layouts, people, things I've seen, etc. I think it is fun for people to see all the places inspiration can come from.
When I save images to my hard drive (I like doing it this way better than using the 'favorites' list because I can organize them by stamp set name just like the gallery!), I put the person's screen name in the file name if it isn't there already, using a name like "row4d_01" so I always know whose card it was! If the person says it was CASEd, then I put a note in the description under the file properties.

When you print them off you could just put a note regarding whose original card it was. I think everyone here knows that we all look to each other for inspiration but it is nice to acknowledge someone elses work that help you with yours.
