There was a single-page flyer (one full regular-size page) in my newspaper today also; has a 50% off coupon good on Thurs., Fri & Sat. only for Veteran's Day sale.

Don't need anything but might get an extra Aquapainter.

Darn now I have to go out into the freezing rain to get the paper (it'll be turning to snow soon), and then go to Michaels to use my coupon!

I heard that JoAnn's is also suppose to have a coupon today also. I'm not sure if it's for everyone or just in our area. They just opened a JoAnns Superstore here.

Here in the metro Denver area we didn't get it maybe tomorrow (I hope) I even called the Newpaper already and asked why it wasn't there. and the gal told me that they had not put it in......makes me wonder since the ad on Sunday said it would be in Wednesday's Paper. :? It's a plot to keep me away from Michael's .....I just know it is  and my husband is in on it I just know it!

How dare he!!

So I raided the papers here at the office and have 2 coupons now. I know I checked the Sunday's papers and we had nothing, so I was happy to see these two.

I thought I would use my coupon on one of those small sewing machines. I think they sell for between $10 and $20. My regular machine is not easily accesible all the time. Thought this might be good for cards. Has anyone tried this little thing?

JRstampers,
I bought one of those mini sewing machines at Michaels and never could get it to work. I'm a sewmstress so you think I could get it. Even asked my husband, thought that engineering degree would do it. NO luck! Took it back because I thought it was broken. They said they have problems with them. Anybody else have this problem?

Wow! Look at all the Colorado Girls! Hello to all of you!

Jovi, we need to do a lunch/shopping date to the new JoAnn's...I haven't been there yet! Maybe we can grab Jen too, go eat at the new Del Taco, and then go to Michael's AND Joann's....

I am going to use my Michael's coupon to buy a ROCKET. Sounds silly, I know, but my DH and DD have a thing for rockets, they love to build and launch them, so I'm going to get them one of those kits from Michaels. That will keep them out of my hair so I can stamp!!!

Sculpey clay!! You use the machine to kneed it and work it out and then you use it to get it flat so you can work with it.

It's also really necessary if you want to make rainbow clay where the colors flow into each other without any lines.

Whooo Hoo! Thanks for the info. I just checked the ad inserts that I threw in the trash 15 minutes ago and THERE'S THE 50% OFF COUPON! You are totally right!

And to think I almost missed it!

I love my SCS friends!

I have that sewing machine & hate it!! I couldn't get it to sew a straight line!! I tried selling it at my yard sale this past summer for $3 (brand new) & it didn't sell! BTW, I'm talking about the ProvoCraft mini sew machine.

I watsted a 40% off qpon for one of these. :( I took it back because I didn't like how it sewed. Granted, I am NOT a seamstress at all, but you don't really have control over the machine, being so small. It was just akward for me I guess...LOL

Hey! Don't forget about me!! I wanna go too!

I heard about the coupon and promptly called hubby at work (he takes the paper - RMN, by the way - to work with him) and told I'd be over there in 5 mins. to get that coupon! He reluctantly came out to meet me and said, "Don't you have work to do today?? Do you have to go to Michael's toDAY??" Well, YES I DO, as a matter of fact!! They just don't get it......

I should probably head out before the snow hits - it's starting to spritz already. :P - J.

Well I've used the PC sewing machine many times and haven't really had any trouble with it. The hardest part is threading the darn thing and then pulling away the paper without ripping out the stitch. I just pull out extra thread near the needle before I try removing my paper, which I have to do very carefully. Paper Zone has another small sewing machine they sell but it's more $$. Perhaps it's easier to use?

Well I just called the Rocky MT News again and told them I know that the ad was in the paper today and I did not receive one and I wanted one sent out tome as soon as possible. The gal I talked to this time said not a problem I will get one out to you within 90 minutes. I also told her I had called earlier and the gal made a big deal out "trying to find out" why i didn't get one and that my zipcode wasn't authorized to get one.....What a crock since I always get a Michael's ad and it is just down the street from me (Much to my husband's dismay).

I think that the other gal just wanted a coffe break and never actually checked on anything. But that is okay since I will finally get my ad in 86 minutes....and counting

I have the Provocraft sewing machine and it works. I don't like to read instructions, but I did on this one. My only problem is tieing the end of it and pulling it away carefully as not to rip the paper. My other problem is that when I sew it leaves 2 marks on my CS from the bottom on the sewing machine (the grabber part) from moving the CS forward. It is frustrating, but I like the look of the stitching better on my little one then on my big one and I have my big one out on my table so it is easily accessible. HTH.

You GO, Girl!! FYI - it's in the Spotlight section, if you get the whole paper again. I should call you while you're at yours in Aurora and I'm at mine in Westminster, and we can shop "together!!" LOL

OH MY GOSH!!!!!! I can not believe it is so hard to get a Michael's ad...... They were here in like 5 minutes after I posted my last message and brought me a Denver post this time........STILL NO AD!!!!! So I call back once more this time the sweet older gal that answered tells me yes I know the ad is in today's paper because 3 (yes three ) of them are setting in the paper she has on her desk . So I tell her what has happened and she tells me she will make sure that this time they bring me the coupon  Personally at this point I think they should bring me 2 since both papers were missing the coupon

I'd tell her, "Well, what the @#$% are you doing with 3 of them, and I can't even get one??!! Send yours over to me NOW!" (JK) Shoot, you could have gone out to 7-11 by now and bought a whole new paper for less stress than this has been. Ah, geez...

That is so funny that it's not been in the Denver Post, but is in the Rocky Mountain News, since they are basically the same paper put out by the same people!! (One's just more conservative than the other). I will have to go out and get the Rocky Mountain News this morning, since I know all ready that it is in there--Thanks Jacqui! (we only get the weekend papers delivered). Then I too will be heading to the Westminster Michael's-- the one on 120th next to Target and Barnes and Nobels. Short4J, maybe I'll see you in there . Cootiebug_Mia, I know which one you are talking about. I go into that one when I am in taking something to my DH on Buckley. Oh, it's nice to have two of them so close by....

    I went out to get the paper and it was gone!!! Gone!!!

My DH took it too work with him! I called him and told him that I need my Michael's coupon. He just laughed! He wanted to know how I knew there was a coupon in there today. I had to tell him that I have an informant! Of course he knew it was the SCS ladies!

So I have to wait till later this afternoon for my coupon! I guess I should get some stamping done.

Robyn, I'll be at the one on 92nd and Sheridan. Or.... I may just go to JoAnn's instead (on 88th) because they take Michael's coupons, plus their own (they had 40% one in Sunday's paper, I think), and the people there are much nicer, and the store is a lot cleaner than Michael's, so I like it a lot better. I'm on the west side 25 so I don't venture over to that one on 120th much. Happy shopping!!  - J.

That's right, there are three nearby! I was just over there last weekend at Sears getting my family Christmas pics done. I remember when I was in AK and we had to drive 30 miles to get to the one and only Micheal's and weren't even guaranteed that what we wanted would be there. Now, I have three to choose from! And to decide what to get with my 50% coupon...oh so many choices   There is an Archivers out there too right? I know that there is an Archiver's by Michaels in Aurora just behind the Coldstone Creamery...
Might have to make a road trip...

The cross streets for Archiver's is the SW corner of 92nd and Sheridan, in between Gart's and that health food store (can't think of the name!), behind Wendy's. Hope that helps. It's an awesome place!!

Misti - go to the Forums section (top right of the page), and then go to whichever section you want. General Discussions (I think that's what it's called) discusses stamping stuff (my first guess if it's about the Stampamajig), or try one of the others to find it. It's not listed on the main page so you may have to dig.

OR.... you could always do a search from the Forums page, on Stampamajigs, and it will pull up all the threads that show that topic. Good luck! - J.

Well the guy finally brought me a Michael's ad and told me that he could not figure out why My zone was not included in getting the ad, but to call Michael's and complain big time since Michael's is just down the street.
But I did get my 50% coupon finally it is in my inky little hands.

Jovi,
If you go and park in the Creamstone (the one that is next the Super Target) parking lot, you'll see the Archivers right there. Hey, when you come up, call and we'll get together for some ice cream...YUMMY!...and some Archival fun!!!

Cootiebug-
The more the merrier!
I know what you mean with everything being right there, you never know which one you'll be going to. There is so much to see at that mall. I love Target, Archivers, Coldstone Creamery, Baja Fresh, Linens & Things, and Party City, all right there! DH doesn't like it when I go there. He doesn't know which store I will want to visit and how much it will cost him
