As much as I love all the tips i get from everyone here, it would be great to find some fellow Edmontonians so we can share our great deals too. Most of the deals on here unfortunatly are in the U.S., and I would like to take advantage of some Canadian deals. Any info pass it on
Holy Crap!!!! I was just thinking the same thing!!!!!!!!! Well guess what!!!
we found each other!!!!!! A fellow Edmontonian!! FYI.... I just posted a note under the "dollar store" thread. I found adhesives at the dollar store "everything for a dollar" in Northgate mall & they are better then the Tombo ones (stickier I mean!!)
Well.... nice to meet you!! I am becomming a demo in January, can't wait!!
West of you in BC here....
I have some great scrapping websites that are Canadian based that have lots of good deals.....I'll try to remember to post them here after I get home from work!!
Nice to see more Canadians in general popping up here!

I'm in Red Deer! Hey, is it cold enough for ya??? Yikes!
It's good to know there are other Albertans here. I know there are others that are lurking...I've gotten a few friends hooked on this site!
I'm in Calgary to. If there is a group of us interested in ordering some things from some of the great US sites we may be able to get together an order to save on some of the shipping costs. Just a thought
I find a lot of great things to use for stamping at the local dollar stores, but I would truly love to have access to all the fantastic supplies that you lucky US stampers have!
In Ontario and hosting the All Canadian Valentines swap. It is due Jan 10th and you still have time to send in your cards. Make 20 receive 20. I have Canadian cards just starting to come in. This will be an awesome swap. If you want more information PM me or go to the swap forum and see the postings there.
Thanks Kim Borgdorff
Hi, My name is Pam and I'm from Camrose, Alberta. Sorry about that last post. I don't really know what I did wrong. I don't talk on here very much. It is very nice to see so many Albertans on here.
Whenever I see this topic come up I get so home sick.... I am from Fort Saskatchewan, near Edmonton and then after college I moved to Calgary for 9 years before I got married and moved to California.
All my family is there and I really miss everyone. Its been a year and a half since Ive been home.

Jeannie,
It is -20 degrees here already, and the wind is supposed to pick up tonight, so it may feel like -35 by morning. Hope that helps your homesickness.
Hi All my fellow Albertans!
I'm Amy, I am in Leduc
Question for you Edmonton ladies, where is Northgate mall I know where Southgate is and I can find my way to West Ed, I'm guessing North Edmonton?!

I'm just three hours away from my family, and I get that way too. But Rachwild is right, it's frickin cold!!! If I were your family I'd come visit you!
Oh what the heck, I'm not family but I'm comin' anyway Make some room on the couch for me! I'm sick of the cold!

Actually that did make me less homesick!!! I definitely don't miss the bitter bitter cold, but it has been raining like crazy here for 5 days. We had in a 24-30 hour time frame between 5-7 inches of rain. Things have been flooding.
Not that that compares to home though. I remember the last year I lived in Edmonton - it was -38C for over a week and it was yucky!
I went grocery shopping today at Extra Foods/Superstore and picked up a special edition pack of 21 Sharpies for $16.98. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

yip, Northgate is north! Actually its on the corner of 97st & 137Ave - with the futureshop, Safeway, Zellers - tahts about it (literally!) oh & the $1 store with the great adhesives! BTw - I have used one of them quite a bit & though it IS stickier it kind of jams up every now & then but is still worth the $5 you save!

I'm Patti and I live in Lethbrige where it's been a balmy -25 outside for the last couple of days. Glad to see so many Albertans posting I sometimes feel left out when I see all the great deals the gals in the US get.
