I thought it was interesting that you can buy some baja and Pacific point corduroy buttons on the clearance rack...and some in color 12 x 12 paper from a year or two ago. It would still be current to use unless they are just not going to sell it anymore. The 12 x 12 paper assortment did have some that are not coming back like Guava and Pomegranate.

There was an announcement somewhere that stuff will continue to be manufactured for purchase until June 1, then they will sell off what they have and when it's gone, it's gone. So, I'd assume that it will be July 1 or after before it goes on clearance.
The color changes don't happen in Australia until our new book comes out in September. So you would think they have a large range of stock to sell. And l think this is the first time all the cataloughe ideas books will be the same. Interesting times ahead lol:p

Oh, they are going to be the same now? I hadn't heard this. Interesting for sure!
Minders I am 99% sure they are but l have been know to be wrong ( a lot ) lol but l have noticed we are following a lot of US products that are in there mini are showing up in ours. And SU is really taking off here in Australia.

tell me more about the CLEARANCE...I didn't know any SU stuff ever went on clearance price or sale price...I would love to buy some of the stuff that is retiring at a discount...so please tell me where the clearance rack/shelf/whatever is...
I ordered all the buttons and some gingham ribbon last thursday and received it today. The clearance sale was incredible.
Bagged up my unused and retiring inks, reinkers and cardstock and shipped it all to the LSS garage tomorrow. I went through the whole set and realized that I haven't touched some of the colors and decided that I could use the credit at the store. My luck selling on ebay just stinks.

You can find the clearance rack on the Stampin' Up! home page (bottom of page at far left) or via your demo's website.
I don't think it will be July, but I could be wrong. Some of the stuff just shows up at seemingly random times. If you know or at least think it will be in the clearance rack in July, why buy it in June? Yes some people will to make sure they get it, but a lot of deal-minded shoppers would not. SU is big on keeping the products' value so I always assumed that was the reason for the delays in moving the product to clearance. (Or that it is so new to them the have not found a consistant method.)
I agree with Shawn. My gut feeling is that the retired colors won't show up on the Clearance rack directly in July, and maybe some not at all. If there are any need-to-have items, I would get them before June 1. You should be assured of having them in stock before then.
When they say "while supplies last," they do mean it. I know a lot of people have been disappointed in previous years when the in colors were coming up unavailable during the "while supplies last" period. Ask me how I know. :-)

LOL, my poor little blog, it gets so neglected, haha. I need to post more often...why aren't there more hours in the day! Thank you, I have to say that I get a lot of my inspiration from all the wonderful stampers here! I'd be nothing (or make really fugly cards) without them! :-) Interested to see about the cattys for sure! And thanks again!
I wouldn't expect the papers to go to the clearance rack. Stampin' Up donates massive amounts of stamping stuff to charity, and my guess is that what doesn't sell here and in other countries before they retire will go in the donate pile.
With all the SU color changes...
