Question alligning background stamps

Hi peeps

I am curious to here how you allign up your background stamps..

Seems to me some stamps are designed to be repeated BUT some are not .

I personally dont get success every time and am getting more and more frustrated. I have tried doing it diagonally but in some cases this is not working..

I particualry struggle with unmounteds as the gap between the edge of the image and the edge of the rubber can vary dramatically...

I have a stampamajig but dont seem to get then hang of this I find it hard to keep it dead still ..though this is easier with mounted rs than unmounteds on THIN acrylic blocks..

Look forward to your tips and comments

If you are referring to scrapbook pages, the only answer I have found is the stampin ma jig. It really is a great tool . There is a great tutorial done by one of our gentlemen stampers (can't recall his name at the moment but it starts with a k I think). Anyways stampin ma jig is the best for lining these babies up.

krabearkub--
his tutorial is here

And I agree, the stampamajig is the only way--and I'm not 100% successful at it. I saw someone mention masking the edge of the bg they had already stamped--that is probably worth a try.

Default re the size of most of my background RS's

Hiya

Either 1/4 sheet of cardstock ( we call a6 here in UK ) but more often taller or wider cards so effectively you are putting one image next to another or one image top to bottom if you like....A good exapmple woudl be background stamps like PSX Fairy Script or PSXAFFIRMATION SCRIPT but there are many ... Recently I was just trying to use a stampin swirl stamp..
Patterns you can often stamp diagonally but text can look odd if done that way ...

Hope this help clarify
thanks cathy
