I just use the tin itself as a template, and trace around it on the back of the paper, then cut it slightly inside the line, and trim until it's just right. I used a Xyron to adhere it. Have fun with it!

I am looking for this info too. Anyone else have suggestions? Do you paint over the print on the sides?

What would you suggest to use, if someone doesn't have an Xryon?

Terrifically Tacky Tape or glue dots will bond to almost anything. TTT comes in a sheet as well as the strips.

I cheated and bought a Mint Tin Album Template by Boxer Scrapbook Productions, LLC. It was on clearance at my local scrapbook store. Haven't used it, though.

Scuff it up on the outside a bit with a sanding pad then spray paint it the color you want (a couple of thin coats should do), then adhere your design on the top with quick-drying glue.

Although I don't use mine for "art", but for storing my embellishments instead of purchasing those expensive tins. I have a larger square tin (Mary Engelbreit) with a hinged lid that stores 14 of the larger altoid tins quite nicely!
