Default Am I allowed to post in a gallery if I am not....

a Stampin' Up demonstrator...or I don't necessary use Gina K products or any others that sell on here?

I am new to stamping and I am just buying my products from local craft stores like Michael's and Hobby Lobby with my discount coupons.

I have many things already bought. I have made 3 cards thus far. 2 b'day cards and one 'farewell' card.

I am proud of my cards, but on the first one I didn't have my prismacolor pencils so I used Darcie's color clipart..so I didnt color it, but I stamped the words and used embellisments. Am I allowed to put them up on a gallery if I am a beginner or not a SU person?

Thanks

JOY

Sure thing hun. We would love to see them. I think we all use stuff from all over. This is the place to show off and get help and everything generally stamping and scrapbooking related. I am sure you will get lots of great responses from your cards.

Most definitely! When you upload, you'll have the option of putting them into specific company galleries or just your own personal gallery if you aren't using stamps from the companies listed. I know I don't always use the "big name" stamps. Can't wait to see your work!

Thank you all for your imput.. I already gave one of the cards away. I took the picture of it one evening..and the lighting was not the best. The other 2.. One is for my elderly client who is turning 90 years young today.. So I need to get a pic of it before I give it to her and was waiting for daytime to get a better shot. The other is for my mom.. I wanted it to be more like from a 'kid' to a 'mommy' type card.. Even though I'm almost 40.. I wanted that look though. I think we never outgrow being mommy's little girl.

All are from simple ideas. I colored one, stamped and used embellishment. The first one that I don't have a great pic of..as I mentioned hope you don't me posting that one even though I used Darcie's color clipart.. it was my FIRST card..with no pencils yet, I had to use her color clipart instead of black/white. I was proud of myself just the same..

I don't have lots of stamps.. so I will have to resort to clipart until I get a collection going. Only have a handful for now. I am getting some of the Studio G ..clear stamps.. those are great for beginners like me to invest in to make sure it's what I want to do and not drop alot of money into my NEW HOBBY... I keep bringing a bag home from Michael's or Hobby Lobby and my husbaband asks, "when did you get that?"..I sometimes say just like w/ clothing/shoes.."oh that old thing, I've been had that"..haha

Thanks I will work on getting them posted guys..

Dear Joy,
Congratulations ~ you are well on your way to becoming one of "us" the way you know how to handle your husband when it comes to purchases LOL!!

YES YES ~ upload your cards and we will all love to see them Go for it and have fun!! It doesn't matter in the least that you aren't using one of the companies featured here. We are equal opportunity enablers!!

IF you are looking for an inexpensive way to start trying some different stamps, try the Buy/Sell/Trade forum here. There are lots of older and not-so-old retired Stampin' Up sets here that go for bargain prices.

Most of all have fun and by all means share your artwork! Welcome to the addiction.... ummm.... hobby ~ that's it! Hobby!

Hey all,

I have 2 cards up on my gallery. One note about my SCRABULOUS card. My client just totally fell in love with this card. You would have thought I had given her a $100 gift or something. At age 90, they usually don't want gifts..I mean they have or have had it all.. this meant alot to her. She couldn't thank me enough and even her family was in awe that I took the time to do this work instead of just buying a card. I put 2 days of work/thoughts into this one...

I even read about 'watermark'. Think from Gina K and another person's website. I am trying to work on getting mine more transluscent.

I'm excited and nervous to what you may think you are all such pros. Any and all feedback is accepted.

Did I do it right..how can I just put "my gallery" instead of all the www. stuff..thnx and hope you will like my little bit of art.

Thnx JOY
