I have only bought 2 gifts and made 2 Christmas cards and already I am getting ads for Door busters and Pre Black Friday sales and stores are opening early. And it is not just the craft stores they are all doing it .
Most of the Christmas stuff is already 50% off.
Sheeh we have nearly 2 months until Christmas .
How much have you done for Christmas?

I bought 2 gifts at a thirtyone party this weekend, then ordered my gift to myself (Kindle Paperwhite) because they aren't even shipping until late December. I've been doing Christmas Cards all year.
No, you're not behind.
Heck, here in NJ we haven't even had Halloween yet. It's been pushed to Monday, November 5 by Executive Order.

No blog for me. My gallery chronicles my card-making successes and mishaps.
I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping and all my cards are done - BUT, my kids are at the age where they're tastes and needs are very specific, so I buy stuff when I see it all year long. My cards are done because I made a ton of different designs last year and they never got filled out and sent, so now I'm using them for this year. Any 'normal' year, I wouldn't have even started shopping or made one card, so you're not behind.
I have smallish, stocking-stuffer-type things for the grandkids that I buy as I find them for cheap through the year, and some cards made (challenges here on SCS and leftover cards that didn't get sent last year), but other than that, not so much... All of my kids are grown and across the country, so I usually just send gift cards with their Christmas card - cheaper than shipping gifts, and always the right size...
I always get aggravated by the "jump" on the holidays - can't we enjoy the one we're having right now? Ever? I feel like I'm living in the future enough in other areas of my life! I really want to be fully present in the moment as much as possible... Maybe I'll make that my mantra for 2013. (See what I mean? EVERYTHING is future-based! Argh!)
Ah well - sounds to me like you're right on schedule...
All my cards are half made and the envelopes for them are already addressed. I'll finish them tomorrow morning when I wait for maintenance on my car to be done. I don't buy any presents. But I wrap other people's presents (the things they buy for other people; NOT gifts from me to them) for them, and I already have all the wrapping papers and ribbons ready to go. So, I'll be all ready for Christmas by tomorrow afternoon, and ready to help whoever hates to wrap presents.
All my personal xmas cards are done. I only have one granddaughter to buy for so that is good. Hubby just got a new galaxy tablet and that is his birthday and xmas gift. my youngest son asked for a nice set of headphones and we already got hom some Bose ones so that is done. I dont think you are behind Barbara I am just a little ahead.
Blessings
No, you are not behind!! I have some cards from last year, but haven't even started on this years. And I only have one gift. Haven't even started thinking about gift ideas.
Funny how I was thinking exactly the same thing as the OP! I've only made one Christmas card LOL! Yet, I am already seeing new stamps and dp's for Valentines Day.....sheesh
I start working on my Christmas cards in Jan. and the outsides are all done; I just have to stamp or write a message on the insides. No gifts bought, and my house is decorated for Thanksgiving.

My feelings exactly! Many People here still have their Halloween decorations out. Then we have Thanksgiving ! I buy a few things throughout the year for Christmas or birthdays when I see something special for someone , but I really don't get into the Christmas mood until after Thanksgiving .

When I was single and it was just me, I'd have my Christmas shopping done by now and would probably be starting on Christmas cards (this was long before I made them).
Right now, I have nothing done for Christmas. And I'm not worried about it. I like to enjoy this time of year and Thanksgiving first. I won't start feeling Christmas-y until December!
If you have a ton of things you want to do for Christmas, and don't have a lot of time to do it, then I can understand getting a head start. But it's just not for me .
I am half done but my daughter, son-in-law and 4 grandkids live in Colorado so I always send a gift card and let her get what they really want. But no cards are done yet. And have had a couple peeps ask for cards for Christmas and then my own, probably about 100 cards. I think CAS is the way to go this year.
