Okay...my sales for this quarter at 2116.10 I have never been this close to 2500 sales in a quarter.
Am nuts to even consider placing an order to get my sales up to 2500?
Free shipping ...or should I save my money and earn free SAB sets???
Oh the decisions!!!!
well you wouldn't be the first to do such a thing. I'm only $300 away from my great rewards points I was shooting for, and want soooo badly to place that final order to get it there. in fact if it weren't for the $700 in car repairs I'd be having the same dilema as you are, but seeing as how it's not an option for me I guess my decission has been made for me.
but if I were in your shoes I think I'd still save it for SAB. what you can get durring SAB for that kind of order is way more than what you'd get with the great rewards points. durring SAB it'll boost your sales too, as well as get the free SAB sets, and great rewards points, and help towards the free set you can earn with sales. my advise is to wait. but you only have to wait 3 more days!

I agree with Michelle. I'd wait. You could do some quick comparison of how much what reward items you could earn vs. what you could get during sellabration.
okay...
let's see...
let's just round to a 400 order
Now:
Free shipping save $40
Great Rewards
Free Hostess Appreciation set
SAB
Free Hostess Appreciation Set
8 SAB sets
Okay...I'll wait! sometimes it's good to just bounce things off other people. When I tried to bounce it off my husband he just looked at me oddly and said "Are the Great Rewards items worth $400?" What's that?!?
he doesn't get it!
I would definitlely wait for SAB because you will get your free SAB sets for your order, your free hostess SAB set, your regular hostess benefits, and the free catalog sets for your personal sales. That's a whole of free stuff!!!! Waiting is definitely better

Why don't you send an email out to all of your customers and offer a 20% New Year's/Customer appreciation sale -- two days only -- order by Dec. 31! (they get free shipping too!) You won't really make anything, but that is okay. Maybe that will push you closer to the Great Rewards!

That's funny because that's exactly what I did! However, I was only $92 away from the Level 2 Great Rewards, so it was a lot more feasible for me (and I DID get 2 $50 orders, so pink tote here I come!!!)
It's worth a shot... some people have Christmas money they're just dying to spend and get free shipping. Others know about SAB and will want to wait, but you're out nothing for trying.

After 11 years as a demo, guess I'm not so"new" anymore!
Tough choice. I think Jeannette's idea is a good one though. I know it's just after Christmas, but you could maybe word the e-mail to suggest that your customers could still get what they wanted for Christmas, in case Santa didn't come through for them? (ie. a new vacuum instead of the stamping things they had on their wish list.. ) Let us know what you do.

I actually offered an after Christmas sale of only 10% (not the 20% I suggested above) plus the free shipping from SU and I have gotten orders totaling a little over $300! People often get money for Christmas and what better to get then stamps at a discount!
you might also consider the money bracket you will be in at 2500 vs. 2100. I'm not looking at the chart, but it's worth pulling out your calculator and checking it. Also: you might consider giving each of your customers a call to let them know you are thinking about an order and want to see if any of them want to take advantage of the free shipping... If you get enough people spending 20, 50, etc... you may not end up spending too much personally - maybe do this as a mystery hostess type deal where you devide up the free sets and products for each 20 spent.
Just so you all know, I did post an email to all of my customers that have email addresses and I placed calls to a few...not all but a few...
It's worth a shot!
