Am I the only one still working on Christmas cards??
I'm a new stamper and an even newer demo and I'm making Christmas cards this year! I can't believe I'm doing this - I'm making many different kinds (so as not to get bored) - then we'll have to decide who gets which! My dear, dear DH wrote a family newsletter (our first and our kids are 21, 23 and 25!) and we're going to get some bigger envelopes so as not to cram the card and newsletter into a small envie.
If you're still working on Christmas cards, do you have your Christmas shopping done? Please tell me I'm not the only one!!
I got sick with bronchitis and a sinus infection (finally got antibiotics yesterday - now they just have to start working!), so I've been slowed down a bit by that.
Hope to hear from some of you - Merry Christmas and as Tiny Tim says "God Bless Us Everyone"!!
I am still finishing my cards!! I have to get them in the mail tomorrow!!! I also got sick and that put a hamper on things!
Good Luck finishing yours!! Guess I better get off SCS and get to work!!
I still am working on mine, they may turn into Happy New Year Cards. But as long as something gets out before New Year's Eve, I think that's okay. Have fun, and enjoy your card making!
Well I am still stamping Coasters for gifts that have to be mailed tomorrow and I hope to be able to START on my cards tomorrow. I think they maybe a Happy New Year card instead of a happy holidays card.
Bad year, just can't seem to get things done. My wrist hurts from all the stamping I have done and I still have a ton to do. I should be stamping now not surfing.
Honey,
I haven't even started mine yet. This afternoon I'll get all the paper cut and I'm a stamping fool tonight and tomorrow. The first year I started stamping I had them done in July. Boy how things change !!!!
IN Him,
Shawna
Your not alone! I am still finishing mine. This year has been really bad for me. In the past couple of months, I have had my husband and 5 year old take turns get sick and now I am coming down with something myself. So needles to say, not much has gotten done around here. Good luck to you and Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Welcome to the stampers holiday season, Susan. lol
I finished my 38 "On Angel wings" cards Friday and mailed them yesterday. Still have to do most of the shopping BUT 2 school Christmas programs, a cantata dress rehearsal and my moms 80th Birthday celebration are behind me this week and today is just the cantata and my DH's family Christmas. Tomorrow I sleep in at least until 7:00.....
Still awaiting birth of first grandbaby this week....
What a blessed season... I love it and am so thankful for my family, friends and stamper family....
What doesn't get finished is okay....the important stuff floats to the surface to be enjoyed. Health and a beautiful season to you Susan!
Merry Christmas!

Oh no, you are definitely NOT the only one. I have mine all cut and mostly wheeled, but I picked a card that has lots of layers, embellishments, and a little envelope with a separate card inside! So even though I am telling myself that it will only take me a couple of hours today after church to finish them, that's the same thing I said last Sunday!!!
 Alicia
I am starting mine later today if I ever get off the internet. Haha. luckily I don't have many to do this year!

I have barely started, and I am expecting a delivery from Brown on Tuesday.
So, until then, I can only dream of what my cards will look like.
As for shopping, I am almost done. Unfortunately, I did not make a list, therefore, I am scrambling at the last minute.
Let us not forget the baking that goes along with the season....I need to do that too. So, when I return from the crowded malls, horrible traffic, and soreness of the arms (from carrying all of the presents that I forgot to make list for).....I will come home to a clean kitchen (it better be!), where I can bake.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day....

Oh...you're not alone! I haven't even STARTED mine. It's just been a rough time for me the last month or so...so, needless to say, I'm behind. BUT, my shopping is finished! (...but not wrapped.....) BUT, the tree is not yet up.... argh!
I am not entertaining until the first part of January, so I will just leave the house all festive until Superbowl! Yep...that's gonna be my new tradition!
I started my cards in October and didn't get them out until last Friday! It was a relief. Had been working real hard on a family cookbook which we had laminated (stamped covers) and coil bound. That was a huge undertaking but it came out real nice! Finished Christmas shopping like a few weeks ago and everything is almost wrappped. I'm working on swaps now and this week I need to do some baking.
Take a deep breath and realize that if you don't get it all done, that it's o.k. - after all, we're not all Superwoman - we are Super Women, though. Enjoy the holidays!!
Finished addressing my 80 xmas cards and going to the post office tomorrow! This is the earliest they have ever been in the mail. I think the recipients will actually be getting their cards BEFORE xmas. LOL!
I sent out 20 of my 60 that I have made last night.....have to tie 40 more 3/8th organdy bows and stick on, then stuff them.....address' and stamps are all done. Guess what?! NO BOWS next year! Mine are also thick (SU! dimensionals used...very nice addition, but added to the postage :(
I also have to START my coasters that are going to be gifts....that will be late for some.... my husband and I are both battling major depression (brought on by several circumstances).....SU! has been my saving grace (besides my faith and friends and family) I engross myself in stamping, on the days that I feel up to it and those are my good days. I also spend alot of time on SCS....where you guys keep my mind occupied. Thank you! Anyhow, I have always liked the idea of handmade gifts, and like that I am still doing that this year, regardless of our situation. So if they are late, the people who will be receiving them know our circumstances and hopefully will understand....and appreciate the handmade part.
So, no, you're not the only one!

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
Mine were completed last night, hit the snail tomorrow.
I also posted it to the gallery.
It's not a "fancy" one, but I think has just enough sparkle to it. I was just happy that I figured out a design I could make enough of in one night to be done. I usually get too fancy and then take forever . . .

Still working on everything!!! Think next year I oughta plan to make less!!! Do you think it will help??
Maybe I can save the ones i've already made for next year........do you think anyone will notice no cards this year???? Oh-poooooo, I better get off and get busy
No you're not the only one. I'm still working on mine too. I haven't gotten them done for many reasons. I almost decided not to send any this year but couldn't do that. I should have the majority ready to send out tomorrow and maybe a few more on Tuesday.
I feel your pain. Good luck getting them done.
Susan
I am yet another whose design has about 6 million steps and so am not even close to finishing. I will join the ranks of people sending new year's cards. why can't I ever do anything the easy way?
Glad to see I am in good company. I found out I am pregnant and lost all motivation to do anything. Just waiting around now for the morning sickness to hit. I figure if they are postmarked before Christmas I am doing well. Next year I have big plans to start in the spring, before baby number 4 arrives.
I"m still working on my Christmas cards and I don't have my shopping done either. I've been sick the last couple of days, and I'm trying really hard to get them done, not a good time of year to feel icky. I'm thinking gift cert. will have to do for christmas gifts what I don't get done.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is not done. I put cards on hold. I needed to get my shopping, cleaning and decorating done first along with kicking my dear boyfriend's butt in gear with his shopping. I just has not been a good last half of the year. Orlando sent me home from convention with a sinus infection and pink eye. My cockatiel died right after my SU open house. The next week I was rear ended & had $4,200.00 worth of damage to my car. I was finally starting to feel better from the accident at the end of October when I started have gall bladder problems. I'm scheduled for surgery tomorrow at 9 am. Yahoo!!!!!. I already have my list of things I want to eat again and restaurants I want to hit. My cards may not get done. I may be eating instead of stamping after weeks of living on bread, rice and bananas.
I received my stamps from UPS on Monday evening (13th) so I got them mounted. On Tuesday evening (14th) I cut all my cardstock. On Wednesday evening (15th) I stamped. On Thursday evening (16th) I assembled and addressed them. On Friday evening (17th) I mailed them! On Saturday (18th) I had several people tell me they received my "beautiful" card! All the long, hard work is well worth it!! As for the shopping...it's still ongoing!
We have had our tree for 2 weeks and my DH just brought it in this morning...I don't know if I will get it decorated today or not. With our cat it won't be up very long, will come down the day after Christmas. I'm having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit. My house is a disaster, thank goodness we go to my sister's for Christmas.
I'm still working on both making my cards, and shopping! Yesterday was the first time we've gone Christmas shopping. (We had to wait for DH's bonus to afford gifts)It really sucks to not feel well at this time of year, I hope you fell better soon!

I've got the mailed ones out, but am still making some for co-workers to deliver by hand. About half my shopping left to do, all the wrapping and all the baking. But my sister and I share the baking, so I don't have to do too much.
Blessings to all in this final week before Christmas!
I just mailed mine out. Honestly, I found the best way to get them done fast is to do the same card. Make sort of an assembly line, ya know? It seems to go pretty efficiently that way, I think.
I just got some of mine done today so those 25 will go in the mail tomorrow, I figured that I better get my butt moving when my husband told me to forget making them and to just go buy some! I about had a heart attack when he said that...I have a room FULL of stamping stuff and he said to buy them
As for the shopping~lets not go there either!! I do day care and the first chance at shopping is going to be on Wednesday  I had planned to do some over Thanksgiving while on our vacation, unfortunately I lost my checkbook, $400 cash, and my Drivers License :( :( So had to save up money again before I could do any shopping. So please wish me luck in finding just the right things :?
Sorry to disappoint you, but my Christmas cards are done/mailed and the shopping is complete. Most of the wrapping is done as well. I do have about 4 more gift tags to make and a few goodies - will do those on Wednesday! I usually am not a procrastinator and like to get things done well ahead of schedule.
Hope you feel better soon.

Well my cards have been done and mailed about a week or so ago, but there are still presents to buy and wrap and the baking to be done! Thank goodness I start vacation days on Wednesday. Have a great Christmas everyone.

Done! Done! . . . .
I only started today. Too many things to do. Tree, maybe not, cookies, store bought, cards worked on today. Ones that should be mailed getting New Years card. Shopping!! Augh!!!! Gift cards.
I need 33 little gifts for the kids in my after school program. I saw the packaged gingerbread cookie, that was very cute. Or the Tic Tac Toe game.
It didn't help to be sick with pneumonia for 9 days. Still tire too easy.
Merry Christmas!!! Turn the music up, turn the lights down, light the candles, (no one sees the dust) throw in that holiday potpourri.
I'm ready!!
Seasons Greetings everyone!
I stamped 100 cards (10 each of 10 designs) and mailed out 98 of them the 2nd week of December I think it was. I have a couple extra just in case I should get one from someone who I did not send to but I doubt it! LOL I think EVERYONE loves getting Christmas cards and I have received about 50+ back so far but we still have a week to go. I love going to the mailbox each day to see who I get cards from that day.
My Christmas shopping has been done since the weekend of Thanksgiving. My sister and I left at 5am with some friends and did most of it. Finished up the remainder of the weekend but now I just need to quit going because I keep buying my only child and my nephew more and more!!!!
Mom, sister, the boys and I just did all of our holiday baking on Saturday too as we do every year. Made LOTS AND LOTS of holiday treats and so I am officially ready for Christmas! Cody gets out of school Wednesday and then the fun will begin. (I love when he is on Christmas break) Oh....I also stamped 40 glass ornaments for his class this weekend too which turned out really cute. He wanted them to be personalized and so we have footballs, frogs, horses, cars, motorcycles, and everything in between. LOL
