Default Am I really obsessed or is it normal to have 48 Christmas cards done already?

I just realized ITS NOT EVEN OCTOBER YET! I made all my Christmas cards which you can see in my gallery. I didn't do anything different with them, i just kept the same design and maybe changed up some color or added a fancy scroll design to it here and there but overall its the same thing 48X.

But now thats out of the way I can focus on fun card making and not "necessary" card making LOL

Way to go! You won't have that stress in another couple months to get them all done at once.

I am envious!! I have not even bought a stamp set yet that I want to make my cards. I am waiting for TAC's Fall Supplement due out any day now to decide if there is anything in there I want to use.
If not, then I will look around and do some shopping! ;)

You're not obsessed! I did mine during the summer when we went to a cabin in the mountains for a week. There's never enough time from now until Christmas to do all that extra stamping. I had fun stamping while the family was relaxing in the cabin at night, and now it's a great feeling knowing that most of my Christmas cards are done.

What exactly is TAC? Is this another place to buy stamps??? I am relatively new to this stuff (doing it since mid summer now) and I am still finding out about new ideas.

Thanks!

YA GOT ME!!!! I didn't address them. I did put one in the envelope to make sure it was going to fit ok .. imagine if it didn't??? ACK! I know I measure twice and cut once but I always worry I might be off.

I am not even sure who I am sending them to this year... since we moved I have more on my list! I might need to get some extra bravo burgundy LOL

Its my first upload ever! I thought it was good enough. But I still look at it and think HOW LAME! I did add some gold scrolly designs to the top of the greeting. It added some fluff. I just didn't upload that example yet.

You're not obsessed. I've made 68 Christmas cards so far for my own use this year, and I'm sending another 50 or so to the troops through Sue Salsburg and Jen Alonso. I've got to make a hundred for myself. Twenty years in the military moving around gives us a really long list!

BTW--love your card!

Thank you so much!!!

I was thinking about making another 20 using different colors or simplifying it more. I am such a goofball about my cards. Family and close friends (fellow stampers included... its all about showing off LOL) get the nicest cards. Then I can make a batch of "nice" cards but less work for the neighbors and co-workers.. providing they aren't stampers of course. I better start thinking of my ideas..... hmmmm

Nope, not obsessed. My mom makes the cards she and Dad send for Christmas and she's had 90 of them done for a few months now. She has more to make but hasn't had time to work on them recently. They send a zillion cards out and she makes them all, so she starts early!

I've got about 35-40 done so far! I usually make about 8-10 of a design and then I move on to a new design. So far I've done 4 designs....only about 3 more to go!

Good one, Joan!

I have about 30 cards done, Linda, and I need about 40 more. Things get so busy around the holidays that there's no way I'd ever get them all done if I waited until November to start. So, no, I don't think you're really obsessed; you just plan well, and that's a good thing.

When I get something in my head I can't get it out until I know its done. (except for cleaning the bathrooms.. boy I hate that.. however if i could stamp the bathroom and stick little pieces of paper on it and... oh sorry I got off track)

And I am starting to see that there is no 'normal' in stamping land.

Good for you. I had 42 done in August. Wanted them out of the way before I started doing the pen pal cards.

Way to go! I'm envious as I've been thinking about what I wanted to make for my Christmas cards this year, but haven't found a stamp that jumps out at me yet to base my card on. I'm shopping all the time looking for one. :-)

Well I have about 100 done and still will need about 150 more. I start in July so that I will not be rushed for time. Last year I was still doing them in November for people. I refused not to be rushed again. Glad to see so many of you have started too..... :-)

I haven't started mine at all--I usually send out 50-60. I've made my own for the past 3 years. But today at Sam's Club, there was this beautiful box of 40 cards for $15.88 . . . . and I gave in to temptation! Now I can make my mom's cards and not be stressed about my own! LOL

Yay you go! Actually, yesterday I sat down because I wanted to find a Christmas card design so that when a scrapbook night comes along I can just sit down and do a bunch. Well, I came up with a design and decided to make it simple this year, and do only 1 design for cards. So, I have a lot of the materials cut and stamped already. I am waiting on more materials I just ordered, then I can finish preparing the pieces so its just a matter of putting them together. Here is my card:

Scallop Snowman Christmas Card by zipperc98 at Splitcoaststampers

Well congrats on having so many done already! I want to have about 65 cards this year, so I have a long ways to go. :-)
