Default Announcement question

I am stamping baby announcements for my niece. I have decided to use computer font for the inside information. What do most of you do?
print on separate paper and glue inside
print directly on the cardstock
print on vellum and enclose

thanks for your help.

I have always printed on a separate piece of paper or vellum on the printer & then either stuck it to the middle or used a ribbon to hold it to the middle of the announcement.

I have actually done all of the above. For inside of cards I lean towards printing on seperate cs and then layer inside.

I've always printed on a separate piece of paper also. And to make it look a little nicer I usually use some type of corner punch on my corners. Good luck.

The method I use depends on the occasion. For something like birth announcements, I'd use a vellum insert; for casual invitation-type things, I print the insides 2 to a page on cardstock and then score and cut into 2 cards and then decorate the fronts. I also like the look you get by printing onto text-weight paper and folding in half and inserting that in the cardstock cover & attaching with ribbon or cording along the fold.

I have printed on cardstock (test for placement on regular paper!!) and printed on coordinating paper to layer on the cardstock.

I've always just printed directly on the cardstock.

Test your printer using cardstock before doing the final batch. Our HP all-in-one just can't handle cardstock and will always jam. I usually end up either printing on vellum or on printer paper and attaching that to the cardstock.

I usually print on a separate piece of paper mainly because it is easier than trying to make sure your text is placed appropriately. You can also then decorate the insert before gluing or attaching it to the card.

When I made announcements for my sister-in-law I printed the information on a separate piece of paper, attached inside. However, the SOLE reason for this was that I started the announcements PRIOR to the actual birth and thus did not have any of the details. I had all of the stamping and coloring done before the baby arrived and then just needed to add the birth information once the baby came.

If I had started them after the birth, I would have printed directly on the inside of card.
