Default another reason to include info in galleries

I know this subject has probably been talked to death, but I just wanted to chime in one more reason to include information in your gallery post rather than linking to your blog. Tonight I was searching for some random things and came across projects that had been posted several months ago. So, that "for information see my blog" message was especially frusterating, because the project was no longer on page 1 (or page 2 or 3, etc) of the blog and I really had to hunt to find it. Just wanted to share... Thanks.

Its a genreal rule that on SCS you are to include your supplies.

While I now often link people to my blog-(and I send them to the direct post the item is in, not just my main page) I always include my recipe. I just dont go inot all the blah blah thoughts about how my card came to that I used to.
I feel if people are interested in that part hen they know where to find it

I totally agree!!! It is so frustrating to see people just put a link to their blog for directions especially when it is just to their blog and not to the actual post of the card!!! Even if it is a direct post to that particular card, I think they should do SCS the courtesy of at least posting the recipe in their gallery instead of it being strictly an ad for their personal blog.

As long as the basic recipe is posted on SCS and the link to the blog is to the actual card and not just their main page, I usually enjoy visiting people's blogs to learn more about the thought process behind making their card.

Lauren, I absolutely LOVE your cards and your blog, by the way!!!!!

So, to sum up, I completely agree 100% with BOTH of you!!!!!!!!

Oh, I've had that happen, too--went to the blog only to find that the directions and details were no longer on page one, and I had no idea how to find them. An exercise in frustration.

I agree. If people link their blog-at least link it DIRECTLY to the post.
And as said above a general recipe should be provided.

And thanks for the compliment

I'm guilty of linking to the blog instead of the specific post. I did it the first few times I made blog links, but then realized there was a better way. Now, I always link to the actual post. I always give really detailed recipes for all of my cards. The only time I link to my blog is if I have a more in-depth tutorial for a card. I like the blog links, but I really hate it when there is little to no info about a card and there's just a link to the blog. I won't comment on cards like that anymore.

hummmmm.....I've never thought about this? Makes sense.... ;)
I guess that's one of the nice things about SCS'ers....that we share info so we all can be better informed. I always come to SCS for information, inspiration, relaxation and any other "tion" word that fits! LOL

I usually put lots of my details in my posts, but I like to tell people about my blog if the pics is posted there as well...that way if there are more pics they can see them. And a big part of going to the blog -- so you can see a BIGGER picture - or at least on my blog if you click the pic it does. I LOVE to zoom in on pics and see details. But that me
