Any good stampin/scrapbooking stores in Champagne IL?
Im going there next week (June 6th) for some work related training and hoping to find some fun stamping related stores to go poke around in. Any one have any suggestions! I'll be staying at the Baymont Inn by the Univ. of IL.
Any other good resturants or other local fun stuff to see there would be much appreciated too!
I live about 40 miles west of Champaign and as far as I know there are no stamp/scrapbook stores in town. There's Michael's, JoAnns and a Hobby Lobby but I think that's it. There's a town south of there - Mattoon with a very nice scrapbook store - Daisy Lane. You should be able to find it by googling but I'm not sure how long the trip is from Champaign.
Sadly, there isnt anything left in Champaign anymore. Daisy Lane (in Mattoon) is a good 45 minute drive south of Chambana, but well worth it. Just take 57 south to the second Mattoon exit, and head north on 45. Its on the Left, in a HUGE warehouse looking building. Hope that helps....
I don't know about stamp stores, but I know that DH says that Papa Del's has the best pizza. Not sure where it is but I would guess the locals do. It must be close to the campus.
