It will not load AGAIN!!!!. I thought part of the purpose was so the pages would load when everyone is on for release nights???
I am so frustrated right now with the new site.
Same for me! I had just posted a comment and got a "Gateway error" with a number I can't remember and now I can't get on at all. I hope it's okay in time for placing an order! (not real confident right at the moment though:( )
I had been on earlier, but now I can't connect to it at all. I was giving it the benefit of the doubt after having numerous problems the last 2 months, but it appears that they are still experiencing problems.
Yep...it is out of order for me, too! I was on, then it froze!
Did you see where the simply chartreuse cardstock is delayed until the 21st? Still can get ribbon and ink pads, though. Of course, I am concerned if I will be able to get anything at all if the store stuff does not let me in! LOL!

Deb
Deb, you realize that they've recently switched to a new website and server? So whatever issues you were having earlier aren't at all related to tonight.
And it's time for the release party to start so I'm sure the site got flooded and that's what crashed it. No biggie! They've still got product to sell!!
I was just thinking about them!! It must be nerve wrecking!! Well, there is always tomorrow! And on the bright side, for sure they are not going to be sold out of those gorgeous dies tomorrow morning, so I can order then!! And hopefully use my gift certificates too!!!!
I was on and then froze up. Can't get back on. This is the 5th month that I have had this problem! I'm giving up. I would love to see what all the hype is about release night - and I'm tired of having to wait until items are restocked because I can't get on during release night. Good luck everyone!
Aaacckkk!! Right now Im not loving that the forum and shop is on the same site. What's gonna happen at midnight?
Thats what I am thinking also. One goes out then other does to.
It is frustrating as we have been looking forward to this all week. And now I am sure a bunch of people will not get to place orders again like last month.
Me, too....maybe Nichole will post something at 10:30 when she does her "contest"...or maybe people will fall asleep on their keyboards and then there will be room to squeeeeeeeze in past them! Must.stay.awake!

Hey, Kelly! YOU really think so? LOL! This makes me think of the wedding dress sell in NY each year where all the brides to be rush in and grab what they can! Too funny really!
While I'm sure Nichole and her team are very frustrated, I'm sorry to say the following:
Launching a new website and forum HOURS before a major release, is, in my opinion, not entirely beneficial to future business endeavors.
Hear me out.
I love PTI... I really do. I love their stamps and their customer service. I love their coordinating items and how they introduce things to make our crafting hobby easier. I love how Nichole and her team listen to us, for the most part.
But I've been a customer for over six months.
Imagine if I was a new customer and this was my first release:
"Gosh... I've heard good things about PTI... I think I'll check them out tonight."

"Hmm... I wonder if Stampin' Up is still having that sale."

"Cool...they are!"

Now, I understand the older server was temperamental at best... but if you start a new site...you can't do it two days before you're expecting your server to get 100s (if not 1000s) of hits and then cross fingers hoping that things will go well.
I'm not implying Nichole is just crossing her fingers, but I really do feel that she could have set up a test site of sorts... and get a couple of forumers as "mock customers" to check out the site...run it through its paces. Beta testers, if you will. Hear the good, the bad and the ugly.
Like I said... I love PTI and it's because of that that I'm frustrated for them and want them to do well. I just really believe that they could have given this more thought before choosing this route.
The servers need to be 1000x robust. It's a growing company (thank goodness!)... it can't be the same servers they used when they first started or even just a few months ago. Those servers should be able to survive an earthquake of customer usage.
They need reliable, STRONG software. Not "Sorry, you've reached your limit of 500 members. Closing down." software...but very strong software. The forum software they're now using is completely unfamiliar to me...so I can't comment on its reliability (or lack thereof)... but again.... reason why you have beta testers.
I just want Nichole and the rest of the her team to be ultra-successful so I can be a customer for years to come... and I fear that even we loyal customers... at some point may say "Enough is really enough."
Editing to add: I guess in summary, I just fear the age-old axiom of "You can't have a second chance to make a first impression." may not be good for any new (for future) PTI customers. :(

Funny you should mention that. That's the image that always comes to my mind on release night. Every see the Friends episode where Monica went to one of those sales?
Hi Betty! I am SURE of it! I can hear the zzzzzz's across America now! I need me some Lily of the Valleys stat:p...or that should probably read "Lillies of the Valley"
I'm more than a little peeved right now with PTI...I placed an order yesterday. Order status said pending all day -- no problem, I didn't expect to have it ship the same day.
What I certainly did NOT expect was an e-mail a few minutes ago from PTI saying the status of my order had changed. To CANCELED. With NO explanation. And now, of course, I can't get on the site to find out what the heck is going on!
After I saw the e-mail, I went to check my online statement. Sure enough, it says "processing." I will be beyond mad if that money is taken out of my account. GRR! Who knows when things will be somewhat normal at PTI to answer customer service problems?

Yeah, but if you sell a GOOD enough product we will be back regardless! Nichole and crew are working to get it all going and opening it today while seems odd, really gets them better prepaired to KNOW what type of stuff they need to work on to make things smoother for future openings. Nichole mentioned on her blog yesterday to get as many of our friends to test out the site to see if it would work with lots of hits.
Is it frustrating...sure! Will I keep clicking to see if I can get in? Most definitely! LOL!
Funny you should mention that. That's the image that always comes to my mind on release night. Every see the Friends episode where Monica went to one of those sales?
I started to mention the Friends show and wondered if any one was that big of an addict like me! I have the GAME! LOL!
Well Ted you've made valid points but I for one will continue to be a loyal customer even tho' they are experiencing the SAME problem again and again.
I just love PTI that much.

Well said Ted. I've been a customer of PTI's for a long time (Let's just say I've easily earned all 3 anniversary sets! ) and I feel for them. So I know if I feel frustrated, I can only imagine someone who has just discovered this wonderful company. I want them to continue to grow and inspire me for a long time to come. Let's just hope these problems are easily resolved and everything will be fine shortly.
Hi all! Very valid points, Ted.
I am wondering who they have hired to redo the site. I also wonder what kind of promises and guarantees they gave her and if she trusted them a bit too much.
What I am hoping is that they just needed to take the site down for a little to give it a final tweaking and that it comes roaring back up... ready to go. We'll see, I guess.
Nichole did say in one of her earlier posts that the system would be slow until about 9pm Eastern time while they continued to work on some fixes and tweaking. I really do feel for her if PTI was promised a stable working site and the web company can't deliver. PTI will pay the price.
Meanwhile, I'll just keep trying to get on... and chat with everyone here until then.
They can no longer hide behind, "we are so new and so small and inexperienced" to keep customer loyalty. This may be the last straw for some. Orders seem to ship slower and slower. They need more man power in addition to other things. They need to overplan before releases so the customers don't witness how shaky things really are.
My orders come very quickly. But, I agree, the frustration on the forums is a bit much. This will be my 3rd month that I am skipping it. I don't have all night to keep trying to log on. I can't get to the store either, but I think they are all on the same software now (I don't know the technical term).
Betty....you are getting sleeeeeeepy....no more clickedy clicks for yoooooooou!
LOL! I have had half a two liter of diet mt dew...if I am getting sleepy I want a refund! That stuff is supposed to keep one up for DAYS! Plus, I generally do NOT dew this much caffeine! My fingers are twitching!
Just imagine how frustrating it will be is we all purposely stay up tonight and then cannot order. We all know by tomorrow morning things will be out of stock.
