Default Anyone experienced in Mod-podgeing?...

I tried to mod podge cardstock on a canvas, and it's staying on there, but it's not as adhered as I'd like it to be. Does anyone have any tips for working with mod podge or have any other ideas? This is what I'm working on...

You can buy something called gel medium that works really good for collaging like that. A good brand is Golden and they have matte and also glossy types. It's what most collage artists use. It's about $18 for a jar but you could use a 40% coupon and get it at Michaels.

for adhering mod podge to canvas -
you need to coat the bottom of the paper a couple of time. I learned that if you put the paper down when it is still wet it sticks better THEN coat the top of the paper. Only a thin coat to get it to adhere better. If you put too much on it can rip the paper. I have done this and never had any problems with it.

The other trick with Modge Podge is to put it on both surfaces. Put a layer of Modge Podge on the canvas and put a layer on the BACK of the element you want to adhere. Place the element and then go over the top of the element with another coat of Modge Podge.
