Anyone more familiar with Whipper Snapper Stamps? Even their um are much more pricey than most um stamps, yet they have some really great images. They are having a 10% off sale which is better than regular price, but doesn't really help out with their high prices a whole lot . . . . do they have better sales sometimes? I drooled way too much and made too long of a wish list from them but yikes, it's too much $$ even if I get them um and even getting free shipping with $150 order (wouldn't be hard if you have the $$ to spend, they have way cute images and sayings)--still a lot of $$ for not much rubber. lol Anyone been on their email list know if they have other sales, or are they a company that just NEVER has sales, so you should jump on even a piddly 10% sale . . ? Maybe their images are good enough that they can charge a lot & never have sales and still sell a lot (sounds like SU, but even SU has sales) ? Help me out please? thanks!
they are just really expensive stamps.. my LSS carries almost the whole line, and I've purchased ONE! lol.. i can't justify spending $20 on ONE stamp. they're great stamps though.. a fellow teacher at my LSS teaches all the whipper snapper classes and they're great cards, and the classes sell out, but i'm not buying it..
i'm not on the mailing list, sorry. just my perspective. haha

I love their images but have yet to buy them for the same reason....
I did e-mail them with the suggestion of offering a rubber only option at a lesser price than what they are offering the UM ( I have found that a bottle of Aleen's tack it over and over is marvelous with just rubber and saves $$$)--the company responded with an e-mail stating that this was coming when they get their new website but did not give a date for the new website....I have deleted the e-mail of I just would have posted the quote from the e-mail...sorry

i love their images but only own a few... cause i have a few from EVERYONE it seems and my collection keeps growing. i exercise restraint [who am i kidding?]... back to your question. i'm on their mailing list - they don't often have sales. at times, they offer a free stamp with purchase... once, ages ago, they offered buy 2 get 1 free [i'm KICKING myself still for not buying then!].
They are not the only ones though, I want a bunch of the magnolia ones too and they are 12-15 dollars um. Also, Wiff of Joy, sugar nellie, spiral whisper.
$10.00 and up for 1 Unmounted stamp is just outragous
Nice to know I'm not alone in thinking they are a bit PRICEY. For those of you that may not be aware, they DO offer their images unmounted (um)--perhaps due to some of you requesting it (?)--thanks. Most companies sell them half price of wood mounted, but not them--I think it's closer to 25% discounted--it says "cling mount" so I don't know, maybe has cushion or something on the back, but still, very expensive I think. If you're interested in them, you might join their email list--that's how I knew about the 10% off sale & it just said now thru this Sunday your purchase is 10% off with "10% Off Promotion" in the comments section & they would process that manually. It's great that it's on anything, it's just that it doesn't help the price much when the STARTING price is so much. From the other comments, I'm thinking it's just that they have such WAYYY CUTE images/sayings that they don't HAVE to sell them low or offer sales. They still sell, even priced high. *sigh* I've got tons of stamps but they sure have some that I'd LOVE. I have 55 stamps on my wishlist and just the UNMOUNTED total came to $348!!!!! I better keep thinning it down I guess! However, they are starting to come out with unmounted SETS and those sets don't appear to be the same artist, but are much more reasonably and competitively priced. thanks so much for your comments!
And not only are they pricey, which really doesn't bother me because if I like them enough I'll pay it (and I do love their stuff), but what does bug me is that they don't have an Angel Policy. They ask a high amount and you can't even sell your stamped cards made with their images! I know, only annoying to those of us that sell, but still! Consequently, I don't have any of their stamps :(
I too love WS stamps. Have you tried www.addictedtorubberstamps.com ? I recently bought several for 15% off & searched the net & found a half price shipping code which was much cheaper than the WS site.

I was going to suggest this also, the only downside is they dont carry very many of their stamps.
Ive just discovered the stamps and bought their catalog which was $20 (ouch) but the paper its printed on is nice and its spiral bound and nice quality.
Their stamps are fantastic quality too, one of their artists thats my favorite is the same that does Simply Shelly stuff.
They're a small company which could explain the cost, their quality is outstanding, though the beautiful stamp stickers dont want to stick to the blocks completely.
Ive only been on their mailing list a short while (2 months) and have seen place an order and get x stamp free or this 10% one previously mentioned.
I think because their stamps are made by artists (before I mentioned Simply Shelly) may be the reason for the lack of angel policy http://simplyshellydesigns.com/ is her website and the chameleon on the page of that link is one of their stamps. Kind of a conflict of interests I guess since the artists wants credit for their work but stampers want to create (and sometimes sell).
I have them... and I love them! I think they are a bit pricey, but to me... if I really want an image, I guess I'll spend the money to get it. I also love the fact that the mounted come with a colored image on the front....
What can I say... I'm a sucker for cutsie!
(They are very high quality... and I'm always surprised at how large the images are!)

I think I have a couple. I didnt like the price but the stamps are cute. I will probably not spend too much on their stamps because there are so many other companies to purchase from and many many cute images out there.
Blessings.

Very familiar!
As far as being pricey, I tend to think it's more a matter of what one buyer perceives of as a good and reasonable value, another may view as spendy, whatever the product may be, and vice versa.
I guess I shop value as opposed to price; if I like it, I want it, I'll use it, and I can afford it, I will gladly pay the seller's asking price. ;)

I too love their images and happen to have their home store about 20 miles from my house. So, I luck out on not paying shipping, but can't seem to walk out of the store without a purchase.................. The card samples in the store are phenomenal and sometimes I just walk around and smile
I recently found out about Whipper Snapper and placed a fairly large order. something like $95. I still have more that I would like to purchase. They are going to be offering plain rubber stamps, no cling, no wood. I will be interested to know what they will be charging for these when it is offered. Their new site should be up next month. IN the meantime, if you'd like some images, why don't you go to the iso, or maybe buy, sell, trade and see if you can swap some images?
