Anyone in the Nacogdoches, TX area?

Hello

I may be moving to this area in the near future if a job opp for my DH goes through, which is likely. I have some questions about the area, taxes, what's there...any stamp stores...or do you have to go to Shreveport or some other big city for that? If you could e-mail me at [email protected], I would appreciate it. Or post here some info about the area. I know Texas doesn't have state income tax, so I'm curious to know how the property and retail sales taxes are.

I live in Dayton, OH now and this will be a big difference in population and area for me. I know there is a college there as well, so I assume the town is kept up pretty well because of that.
