Default Anyone Unmounting Stamps?

I purchased some smaller SU! sets of stamps at a garage sale but they were sold without the wood blocks. I'm hoping someone who is going unmounted would be able to send me some of their woodblocks they no longer use (I pay postage). Anyone interested in recycling? I'm dying to use these stamps, it's like torture having them look at you but you can't use them!!!!

Help!

Default Wood blocks

I believe I may have a set or two laying around. I'll check after work tonight.

Default Stamp Wood

You could look for wood blocks from a child's block set, if you get desperate!

Some stamp stores sell the blocks individually in different sizes if you can't find anyone with extras.

Default using unmounted stamps

I use UM stamps without the wood all the time.

Just put a light coating of Alene's Tack it over and over glue onto the back of the stamp.

Once it dries you can use it on acrylic blocks or on a CD case. Stamp as usual.

Generally this works with most stamps, but if the stamps have a lot of detail you may need to add a cushion under the rubber stamp.

You can purchase a cushion called E-Z mount that is sticky on one side to mount to the rubber and has a cling type surface on the back of the cushion. You can then place it on a acrylic mount or CD case and the cling side will hold it in place temporarily.

You remove them when your done and store inside the CD case or place in a sandwich bag.

I really like using UM without the wood as I am running out of room to store stamps and don't want to sell my favorites to make room for new ones. I can fit a bunch more CD cases in a drawer than I can the sets mounted on wood. Also, I like being able to see through the acrylic blocks so I get a perfect placement when I stamp with them.

www.addictedtorubberstamps.com sells both wooden blocks for mounting stamps as well as acrylic blocks.
Good Luck,

Try here: http://forums.about.com/ab-scrapbooking/messages

There was a big group of women recently unmounting their stamps and asking if anyone wanted the blocks.

I have a few pounds of new wood blocks I am interested in "recycling" just for postage. I am converting to EZ mounts. If you will PM me your address, I'll be happy to let you know what the cost would be.
