Default ATC instructions

Hi there.
I am new to the whole world of ATC's but I saw some today and loved them!
I have been searching around the forums trying to find a very basic guideline for how they are done and what things like NVR mean bu I'm not having any luck.
Could one of you point me in the right direction? i would be most grateful!
Thanks
Susan

This Technique challenge has some info you can use and a link to samples in the gallery.
You can embellish very much the same way you would a regular card, same layout will often work too.

there are some great samples in the gallery but here is a website with more info for you
http://www.cedarseed.com/air/atc.html

basically they are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 pieces of art. the size is the main rule and the reason well I think so they fit in trading card slevees. the kind that kids would put baseball cards in

Swapped ATCs are a great source for inspiration, techniques... I keep them in an album, 4 ATCs on each page.
I use my ATCs on cards too, I have a few on my blog:
http://stampingmathilda.blogspot.com/search/label/ATC
Size should be 2 1/2 x 3 1/2, and you can use all your cardmaking techniques, stamps and embellishments.
