Default Awesome Cleaner

I just bought some Awesome Cleaner from my local dollar store. I believe someone had posted a while ago that it cleaned off black from their stamps and worked as a cleaner, like the stamping mist. But can't find the post. If anyone has used this, how good was it, or would you recommend it for cleaning stamps? I hate using black ink on my stamps, because I hate cleaning the stamps, and they have to be clean! The only thing I found that can clean them to practically new is the staz-on cleaner, but was hoping the Awesome cleaner would work. Can anyone help me?

I have a friend that bought some awesome cleaner at a dollar store. She let me test it out... I found the results quite a bit LESS than awesome. That stuff still didn't work as good as my staz on cleaner. Stick with the staz on cleaner, IMO.

I've had great success with the Awesome cleaner. I have not tried the stazon cleaner though.

But for $1.00, you can't go wrong.

If it's really tough to clean the stamp, I will let the Awesome cleaner sit on it for a couple of minutes then wipe with a wash cloth.

Good Luck!

I love AWSOME cleaner, it is all that i used to clean my stamps it really gets the black off of your stamps if u have the scrubber from SU used that to clean your stamps, and to make it last longer do half an half(water and cleaner) makes it last longer. if you have any question you can send me an e-mail

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU

I've never used the Awesome cleaner on my stamps, but it's gotten rid of a whole lot of other tough stains I never thought would come out. Even if it doesn't work as well as the StazOn cleaner, it's definitely worth keeping around.

I have used Awesome and it is AWESOME for cleaning...when I'm done for the day I use a conditioner cleaner to condition the stamps so that the rubber isn't affected. If you can use bleach...I can't see any problem using the Awesome cleaner, especially when you condition them at the end.

If you get black ink on the wood use a Mr Clean magic sponge (moistened) and you won't believe how much ink you can get off.

I have been using Simple Green mixed 1 part cleaner/10 parts water. I love it! I use paint edger pads for the scrubber and it works great!

OK, I don't get it. Why do you have to condition your stamps? Does the SU cleaner have a built-in conditioner?

People talking about Awesome Cleaner.... Grace mentioned conditioning stamps... I figure, if using cleaner other than one sold by Stampin Up, a conditioner would be good idea. I then ask "What conditioner?"
Maybe I wasn't clear....

The Conditioner is any stamp cleaner...SU's is great ...they have 'STUFF' to condition the rubber...ie. keep it soft and flexible. I just find that it's a lot cheaper to use the Awesome to clean...I like to clean my stamps...even sometimes between stamping...and I was spending a ton on stamp cleaners...now the offical cleans go a lot further as I use Awesome to do the heavy cleaning and only a little of the stamp cleaner at the end. Will baby wipes with Aloe condition your stamps?

(I use the kind that is alcohol free.)
