I love both of these sets, but really think I only need to purchase one. What are all of you ideas? Which is more versatile? I am thinking of BB for both sets--after all, that defines summer, right? What are your ideas, suggestions, comments? Deciding on either one is really difficult!
Thanks for your wonderful comments. I know I'll hear a lot.
I just ordered Sparkling Summer. I have seen so many cute cards made with it. It seems to lend well to adding fun things like Crystal Clear, dazzling diamonds, glitter and other embellishments. If you are or want to be a demo than that is good so you can showcase SU!'s great accessories. Do you look at both sets and not have a preference one way or the other at all? SS seems more hipe and refreshing and OTB might seem a little classier to some. You could use the birds, butterfly, and lighthouse along with other sets. It really comes down to a matter of choice and I like SS but that is me. It would be interesting to hear from people who have demoed both sets and see which ones got more oohs and aahhs from customers. Which ever you pick, I know you will have a blast making the cards and scrapping with them!!!
Sparkling Summer for sure! It is my very favorite set! Also, it is newer and I don't think it will retire yet. (Although you can never be sure until the catalog comes out.
Sparkling Summer! I love this set! I also use it on my scrapbook pages.
I do like On the Beach, but I wouldn't pay for it...I'm waiting to earn it for free (300.00 away from Stampin'Start in sales! When I hit that, I get to pick 2 free sets!)
Sparkling Summer! I have it and love it! Use crystal effects on the glass to make it look like it's sweating, on the intertube and ball to make them look like rubber. Use the icecream cone with the dreaded mint melody and chocolate chip papers and ink and you can almost smell the mint! Use every color ink to make a collage of popsicles.
Can you tell I love this set? I ordered it in my starter kit in February.
I just sent my demo papers in on Thursday. I picked Sparkling Summer because I thought it was more versatile. I also have children though so that may have had some play in my decision. It is also newer to the catalogue. Plus, summer is coming fast and I wanted to be able to demo summer things!
I plan on really playing up the Stamping/ scrapbook aspect of my business. We will be overseas starting in June and won't have access to places like Mike's or HL. So running out to get some stamps/diecuts to finish a page is impossible. But you will always have stamps and ink and can change the look of a scrapbook page quickly by changing colors!
Sorry this is so long. Hope it helps!
Just Clay, Dawn
