Question Becoming a SU Demonstrator

I have decided to go ahead and do this, what stamp sets would you recommend to get with the kit?
Thanks,
Leslie:confused:

I really like the sets that come with the kit right now. I think they are very versatile. When you place your first order, throw in the modern label punch...perfect for the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.

They do choose versatile sets that come with the kit. But obviously if you already have one or more you'll want to choose others. If you change any out, be sure they are ones you love and will use.

I agree with Jessica. Get what you love. If you don't love it, you aren't going to use it, no matter how versatile it is.

Spoken by someone who's chosen something that they didn't truly love, but got it anyways and didn't use it.

I have a few of these on my shelf right now!

I just joined and I change every stamp set not sure what you have in the USA starter kit But in the NZ kit I hated all of them I wasnt going to use any and I knew my clients wouldnt like them so I changed to On your birthday, Petal Pizzazz, circle circus, Baroque Motifs. I wanted to make sure if worst came to worst and it didnt work out I want to be able to at least have some great stamp sets. But I also looked for ones at the same value and that could be versity to use for differnt card types eg Male, birthday, xmas. I also made sure that I had a least 5 completly different card ideas for each set, so I could demo differnt ways of using them, as this is what I noticed by talking to my card group a lot of the ladies didnt have much of an idea on more then a couple of cards. So I would talk to them about what they could do they were more likly to buy it. So I decided to become thier demo.
For example I thought Petal Pizzazza was a great set fro 3D projects, one sheet wonders, basic cards and can be used with punches. This also another great way of selling think about what can be used with it to sell along side. Stamp sets that fit Punches are great more selling more money for your pocket or like mine more stamps.

I'm not a demo but I have bought a number of sets that looked awesome and are hard to work with. I say look at the gallery for the sets you are considering and see what others have been inspired to create with the sets you are choosing. Some sets that I have bought in the past are office accoutrement, bar codes, and play on words (all retired) have been hard to use. Do you have cards favored? Look for any themes that seem to come up in favored cards...like I found I just love botanical silhouette sets!

If you get what you love, and use it in your classes and parties. Customers will feel your enthusiasm. Its difficult to be enthusiastic over something you don't like.

Get what YOU want!

It is good to go with what you will use personally - if you love them you will use them. I find showing what you love at workshops helps. You are excited about it and it makes you customers excited!
I try to demo sets that can be used for many different projects and for most any occasion.
Good Luck and best wishes with your new business.

I understand I spent at least a good few weeks thinking about what stamps I was going to get, too many on wish list.
