OK - probably a really stupid question - but I'm the type of person that has a hard time cutting a straight line with a pencil, ruler & scissors. Do you use a pattern? When I try to create my own tags they are never even. Since they are the hottest thing going right now & I think they are soo cool I would like to overcome this obstacle of mine! Thanks for any suggestions.
This is the very reason I HAD to have a Sizzix. I just love their little tag templates. I'm a nightmare trying to cut things out too, so in my own warped little way, I jusitifed buying a Sizzix so I could have decent tags. With my 40% coupon, it wasn't TOO bad.

Hi, Stacey! Do you have the simplicity corner punch? We learned a great tip at convention for making tags with it. Thre's a thread on it somewhere. .. hold on & I'll find it.
I cut one corner off a cardstock rectangle then flip the cut piece over to the other corner to use as a guide & the cut the second corner. Then your cut corners should match!!

Cindy - what a simple, yet smart idea! Ohh! I just opened that thread in another window - I don't know if I have this punch - but I have to check - how cool! There is hope for the cutting challenged! THANKS GALS!
I have 2 of the Large Marvy Tag punches. I use them a lot. I was in Michael's the other day and they now have 2 different kinds each in 3 sizes. So, I bought another one. I hope to get them all. I also sent them an e-mail requesting they make a circular one with the little semi-circle on one side. Haven't heard form them yet.
I also have a Colluze tag template. But, I like the punches better.
Of the dozen+ punches I have, this is not one of them! oh well, I'll be adding that to my next order! My wish list this catty is so out of control! So many stamps & accessories, so little time (& $$)!
Hobby Lobby carries a great selection of premade tags in the scrapbooking department. Also, I love the manilla shipping tags at Office Max. (they are cheap!) Here's a card I made with a shipping tag so you can see the size.
I like to use a BIG old fashioned paper cutter to get straight lines on small objects. BUT, for the tags, I really want to get the corner rounder punch. Perhaps it's because I am old and gray, but the rounded corners are SO reminiscent of little tags in the stores when I was a child.
