Anybody know if BIG BLOOMS or DOODLE THIS made it into the new catty? I'm debating a purchase and knowing that they will be available in July would be a big relief. LOL!
I just e-mailed my demo with this question. I want Big Blooms but don't know if I should order by June 30th. I'm hoping it will be in the new catalog so I can save money! If I hear back from her I will let you know!!
I just heard back from my demo. I don't have a definite answer... she said that in her experience items from the minis do not make it into the big catalog. I know I'm dissapointed b/c I LOVE this set but just can't spend the money right now:(

Don't be too bummed. It's better to miss out on a set every now and again than spend money you don't have. After all- the new catalog will have TONS of must have sets in it- something bigger and better always comes along.
I thought a lot of sets made it into the catty last year from the minis (although I guess it depends on the meaning of "a lot" -- there were more than I expected.)
If it makes it you can buy it new, if it doesn't you can get it used -- unless you think it is so popular that it will demand sky high prices.
Personally, I'd wait...

I seem to recall that Stampin' Up! told us (demonstrators) that we would get a list of the mini catalog items that were going to make it into the big catalogs. This is probably because some of the more spring/summer styles might not make the Fall/Winter Collection, but will be on the dormant list until the Spring/Summer Collection arrives January 1.
I'd check with your demonstrator the last week of June, though if a list is actually released by SU I am sure that it will appear on SCS within a relatively short period of time!
I think SU is cutting down on the amount of sets to make it from the minis into the big catalog because so many people complained a couple of years ago that there weren't enough surprises in the catalog -- too many sets from mini catalogs were there. There will definitely be some sets, just no hostess sets or Sell-a-Bration sets. I think Big Blooms will get in, but that's my personal opinion. Also, supposedly any sets that have a matching wheel have made it into the main catalog.

They don't all make it, but some of them do, we just don't know which ones yet.
Some sets from the min catalogs do make it into the BIG catty - however NONE of the hostess sets and NONE of the Sellabration sets will be in the big Catty...
It is really a guesstimate as to what makes it into the Big Catty...one thing I have seen in the past 3 years of dealing with SU is that if a set is very thematic specific chances are it won't make it into the Big catty (like last years Godspeed) - More general sets have a greater chance of making it into the Big Catty...
There might be a few days of overlap where people start to get the new catty before June 30th - last year a bunch of demos didn't get thier catties until after July 1st (I was one of them)
there will be a new set called Ginormous Flowers (??) in the new catty - from the samples it looks like it will have bold solid flowers

Hey...I just read somewhere that Doodle This made it into the new catty.
I'm curious to know where that info was found, considering that no one has the catty in their hands yet. Unless someone saw a stamp set used in a sample from the Preview Brochure or in the July issue of the magazine SU! sends to demos, there's no way anybody not involved in putting the catty together would know this for sure.

How about Office Accoutrement? How much are the ribbons costing and how many yards on each - for the grosgrain?
TIA!
If I am correct the grosgrain will be in 15 yards and the price is $4.95. I have heard that the color selection is great and they now have SU names. I can't wait to get my hands personally on a catalog!

Bummer. That's more than a 5% price increase. (With the smaller yardage a 5% price increase would make the 15 yd spool $3.75 or 25 cents a yard. This is 33 cents a yard.)
However, I still can't wait to get a catalog! I really hope the designer papers are incredible!
thanks for the info...I'm sure I'll get over that when I see the new catty!
Probably. No matter what you forgot to buy- or wanted on the retiring list but didn't have money to get right now- SU never fails to introduce more stamsp that are MUST haves.
Cool - thanks for the heads up on the Office Accoutrement set!! Now, if only the stamps in the Designer Label Punch Box would be in there that would make my month!!!!!
Even with the prices going up still absolutely cannot wait to see the new catty!!! Not sure how much more I want to hear about before I can paw through it myself. = )
I'm interested in what is in the demo kit, since when I was a demo a few years back, the stamp sets have all retired since then.
For Stampin' Up! you get ot pick what sets you want to be in your demo kit! They let you customize your kit. They do give you suggestions, but that is all they are "suggestions". Hope that helps!

The punch box is on the retired list, this did this last year and you could buy the punch in the new catty but not the stamp set.
